Zardari’s Fear of Unknown

By Sameer Shaharyar • May 30th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments

Asif Ali Zardari has impressed the nation with his choice of words, but he has utterly depressed the masses through his timidity and fear of unknown. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has feared that if he strikes directly at the forces of status quo, then he might be ousted from the government.

What would happen if Musharraf dissolves the assembly and uses the evil powers of 58(2)B? PPP would be more than popular and the wrath of the nation would be uncontrollable and it would be a starting point  for the much needed revolution. President Musharraf is a defacto President of Pakistan, and the he is responsible for the state crisis. The main culprit is not Shaukat Aziz or Chaudhary Shujaat, its Musharraf.

President Musharraf has destroyed all the state institution including Army and the Presidency. General Kayani is doing a great service by pulling out Army from the politics. An apolitical army is the need of hour. Asif Ali Zardari should realize that the power of people is supreme and he need not to fear from the confrontation with Musharraf, as Musharraf cannot face the people power.

Zardari shouldn’t fear from the unknown. Musharraf has become way too weak to exercise his nefarious powers. He simply cannot. If he tries to do that then the nation would himself stop them.
