Zardari, Sharif and Co. – The fleece that wouldn’t sell
By Kaptain Mirza • Oct 29th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • No ResponsesYet another feast and this is NOT a feat. The nation wilts and tilts to a position where there is no return. The Army is locked up, beefed up and engaged from where it cannot step back but from whence it has to return victor, no second option. Until then the pawns have to be replaced by yet another league but little intelligent ones. The dwarfs are many, scattered and greedy as this is the fashion of democracy, no matter how deteriorated the intent be which is likened to accentuate the confusion; a state bestowed upon the nation to keep it belittled and scouring for more electricity, sugar, wheat, gas, education, industries, jobs and the tunnel doesn’t seem to end.
It could have with Nawaz, Zardari, Malik and Co. but nonetheless was just another routine procedure, a reason, an excuse to the media to be before the camera; its just effective to be ‘in’ and also being notorious rather than being ‘out’ of focus while being philanthropic, slavery to say the least. Who deserve to be, stay out; perhaps are larger than their figures. The media greys out on them.
The nation trusted them, yet again in the elections and here they come up with meetings, promises and ‘deals’, NRO and 17th amendment which is a ridicule that we are susceptible to the trickeries and the circus which emerges every now and then (read elections).
The nation (awaam) was fooled and further they are disparaged in mighty and petty feuds in racism, religion and rude talk shows. No enterprise, entity, intellect is capable enough to stand out and whistle on the status quo.
The meeting between Zardari and Sharifs didn’t bring anything but fluttering and glittering pictures all around with any material in it. Just another time pass and much was talked about, wished upon, promises, pledges and balance sheets (from France, Spain, Monaco, Turkey) were discussed. End of the story.
For a change, just for once, which doesn’t even require moving a nerve; the nation must cease to trust them. There is a void for leadership; up until it is filled, the nation must stamp such crooks, sugar mill owners, wheat hoarders, figures as the most unreliable living entities to walk above the earth and let them be known. Just a change is all we need, a resolve, an agreement, a thought, a decision would be courageous.
No more we lend our trust, our hand, our votes to such dramatics. For once, in retrospect, enlist all the promises and be made visible in every bazaar for everyone to see.
STOP being naïveté, once for all. Who couldn’t side with the Quaid for the past 60 years, how would they the next 6?
Pakistan Pa’aindabad.
