The insufferably pompous president Asif Ali Zardari is only way too happy with his appearances at the American talk shows, and the way he was on the run with the fake telephone call from New Delhi in the name of Parnab Mukerjee tells the story of his abilities. He is after all the fan of Sarah Palin, who was also decieved by a radio anchor as Nicolas Sarkozy of France.

According to the media reports, Pakistan went into a state of ‘high alert’ last week after a threatening phone call made to President Asif Ali Zardari by someone from Delhi who posed himself as the Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee. It all started on November 28. Because of the heightened tension over the Mumbai carnage, some senior members of the presidential staff decided to bypass the standard procedures meant for such occasions, including verification of the caller and involvement of the diplomatic missions, and transferred the late-evening call to Mr Zardari.  The caller introduced himself as Pranab Mukherjee and, while ignoring the conciliatory language of the president, directly threatened to take military action if Islamabad failed to immediately act against the supposed perpetrators of the Mumbai killings, and Zardari was on the run.

Zardari is a big fan of Sarah Palin, who also shown the same intellectual capability. According to welt.de, Sarah Palin fell prey to a Canadian prankster when he called her impersonating French President Nicolas Sarkozy and got her to accept an invitation to hunt baby seals. In an over-the-top French accent, a member of the Quebec comedy duo “The Masked Avengers,” asked if Palin would take him on a hunting trip by helicopter, and then in French said they could also go kill baby seals. During the phone call, which was played for a Montreal radio program, Palin complimented the fake Sarkozy on his beautiful wife, Carla Bruni, and asked him to give her a “big hug” for her.

Big Hug was what our president also wanted from the Sarah, remember???
