Yousuf Raza Gillani and Khalid Maqbool

It was the same house, when in eighties Yousuf Raza Gillani weaved the dreams of becoming chief minister of Punjab with the help of Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and was thoroughly outmaneuvered by the then chief minister Punjab, Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Yousuf Raza Gillani was a puppet then, and he is a puppet now. Then he was used by his own uncle Pir Pagara on the directions from the General Ziaul Haq to give a threat to the out-of-control Nawaz Sharif, and he is being now used by Asif Ali Zardari and dictator Pervez Musharraf to once again threaten Mian Nawaz Sharif in Punjab.
Now Governor Khalid Maqbool is helping Yousuf Raza Gillani in gathering the required numbers in the Punjab Assembly to tame the PML-N, and to stamp the authority of PPP and Musharraf in Punjab with a thudding and agile action.
In the eighties Mian Nawaz Sharif proved too much for Gillani. Let’s see who wins this time.

Good Bye Governor KHALID MAQBOOL… This funeral has been proved as your funeral also. He bringed two dead bodies in Governor house for putting all expenses on Govt…and taking his dead body back also. These positions will remain but don’t know why people forgets that its not made for one man only forever. One day he has to leave it also.
Today, he has been replaced by Salmaan Taseer. Chartered Accountant for UK, Wales and CEO of First Capital and Worldcall. Also PPP’s man.
Salmaan Taseer began his business career by successfully setting up two chartered accountancy and management consultancy firms KPMG, United Arab Emirates and Taseer Hadi Khalid and Co, Pakistan.
In 1994, he established First Capital Securities Corporation Limited (FCSC), a full service brokerage house, with equity participation by Smith Barney, part of Travelers group and HG Asia based in Hong Kong. Since then he has been actively involved in establishing other companies in the financial services sector as well as the telecommunications, media, insurance and real estate development sectors in Pakistan.
Under Taseer’s leadership, the First Capital/Worldcall Group has grown remarkably and the group presently operates in the areas of telecommunication, technology, retail and property development, financial services, and print and media businesses with global footprint. Taseer also owns the Daily Times newspaper, Business Plus TV channel, Pace shopping malls and Hyatt hotel range in Pakistan.
Taseer has vast experience of specialization in merger and acquisitions, flotation, investment banking and stock market analysis and also delivered presentations on various financial issues. He has also been an author of a number of articles on Investment and Financial subjects.
He is currently also serving as a member of the Board of Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan and on the board of USF (Universal Service Fund) Company Limited.
Salmaan Taseer was selected as the Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives in the Caretaker setup under PM Muhammad Mian Soomro for four months in the winter of 2007-2008. On 15 May 2008, Salmaan Taseer was nominated for the post of Governor of Punjab by the coalition government of PPP, PML-N, ANP and JUI-F to replace the incumbent Lt. Gen. (retd) Khalid Maqbool.[2]
He has also written a political biography on Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
When Gilani was in prison (Adiala Jail), his wife alongwiht a respectable personality (who played a decisive role to bring Brig Khalid Maqbool as Maj General) went to Governor house Punjab and asked to free Mr Gilani. Mr Gilani’s wife and that gentleman remained seated on chairs out of governor’s office (some years back) for about one hour, then Lt. Gen Khalid Maqbool called them and listen to them, the ariving pair asked for relaease of Mr Gilani (who was in prison), Lt. Gen Khalid Maqbool asked them to apply to the President for Mercy. Mr Gilani’s wife refused to do it and told the governor that let him remain in prison.
At the time of elections Mr Gilani told media that the distance between Adialla Jail and National Assembly is not far away. I think now our premier is afraid of that Class-’A’ prison when he compare the luxurious life of being Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The qualifications and disqualifications for membership of the National Assembly set out in Articles 62 and 63 shall also apply for membership of a Provincial Assembly as if reference therein to “National Assembly” were a reference to “Provincial Assembly”.. Defection means that: you leave a party on whose ticket you have been elected; a member elected on the Party’s ticket has to resign or tenders resignation or joins any other political party, votes or abstains from voting, or votes against the directives of the Parliamentary Party in the House, and goes against the directives of the Parliamentary Party in relation to the selection of the Prime Minister or the Chief Minister or in the balloting for a vote of confidence or a vote of ‘non confidence’ brought into the Parliament, or goes against the parliamentary party on any Money Bill, then in such a case the leader of the Parliamentary Party can declare that the person has defected from the party, meaning that he has separated from the party. Such a declaration will be made by the head of the party and the decision will be made by the party. The head of the party has an obligation before making such a declaration to issue a ’show cause notice’ to that member and give him an opportunity to explain why a declaration should not be issued against him, because this is a principle of natural justice. When this declaration is made by the head of the party under clause-1, then after the declaration the speaker of the National Assembly, or the speaker of the Provincial Assembly or the Chairman of the Senate (as the case maybe) is duty bound to refer that declaration within 2 days to the Chief Election Commissioner. And the Chief Election Commissioner will present this declaration before the Election Commission. Then the Election Commission will decide within 30 days whether the member concerned has defected that is left the party or not.
Under the strict obligation of constitution, such a practice if in conductivity by constitutional office a holder under oath is the same breach that was previously practiced by different dictators in the name of constitution.
our nation dont know how to respect people who are real gentleman. khalid maqbool lived a lion’s life as governor of punjab.he is a man a man of gr8 qualities, he paid his taxes and promoted education all over punjab. innauguration of UET faisalabad, universities of bahawalpur,gujrat and many more. salman taseer drinks wine 100 times a day go and see governor house u’ll c many whiskeys and wine there. khalid maqbool paid every penny when his sister died. what can be more beautiful to see that he is leading a calm and healthy live with no blames at all after his retirement as a governor. see pervaiz ilahi, musharraf what happened to them bruted by the people of pakistan but nobody can cliam khalid maqbool. even he took anything from governor house whats the matter with it he is the first longest governor of punjab regning more than 6 years he can take it he has every right for it. look at the past he offered the poor people to marryy to the respective couples and made theem married it was about 200 couple which he tied them as husband and wife. look at punjab institute of cardiology lahore and newly built punjab cardiology in faisalabad they all thanx khalid sb in his commitment. go and ask the people living in the governor house what are they saying, they are still sad and sorrow with the retirement of khalid sb. also salman taseer is a good man even if he drinks wine and whiskey i like him due to his bravey and commitment. even he salman taseer praises khalid maqbool now thisis example and trust me it was khalid maqbool who [proposed the name of salman taseer as the governor of punjab…
