Younus Khan : An Idiot, through and through

By Sher Ali • Oct 4th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 10 Comments

Do you remember that scene in a match some years ago, where a bowler misbowled and the ball went to near mid-off, and Younus Khan bolted from his crease and hit the ball for four. Everyone was in agreement that it was the only way he could hit the ball across the boundary.

The talent draught in Pakistan has brought this day when the Pakistan Cricket team has Younus Khan as their captain and Shahid Afridi the vice captain. Both have many things similar. Both haven’ t got even an iota of common sense. Both are senseless batsmen. Both have failed hundreds of time, and yet they are in the team and through these draught times have elevated to such position. Look at their shameful batting averages.

Younus Khan must be thrown out of the team with as much as disgust and humiliation and so is the Shahid Afridi. They both have harmed the team limitlessly and have blocked the way of fresh blood for too long a time. Pakistan lost the semi final against the New Zealand in ICC Champions Trophy, just because the lame captaincy, failed batting and catch drop of Younus Khan, and if he has got a little bit of dignity left, he must at once resign.

  1. Pak fielded an understrength side against Australia and LOST THE WINNING MOMENTUM from which they never recovered.

  2. Mr Sher Ali,

Your choice of vocabulary in respect of a person who is revered by the public so much is awful and can be said as most derogatory.

You are very forgetful; he just got you a world trophy some few weeks ago.

Please be mindful that Cricket is just a game and he is simply a player in that. Dropping of simply a ball catch in not that big deal. Be thankful to God Almighty that we were at least there at in semi final.
Pakistan is a place and our situation is so precarious that we are unable to hold a single world class event in Pakistan. People travelling round the globe hate even to have a short stop of flights on any Pakistani air ports enroute for fear of their lives.

Is this not great that they could defeat our arch rival India—so splendidly?

I wonder that why we people intend to be so Negative and pose so judgemental all the times—– for others?

  3. Hi Sher Ali,
This guy was revered when they won world cup. The team won against Indians and that saps their momentum and they relaxed. But the white man never relaxes his focus and they reach the final. I still feel Sri Lankans are the best team in the world.

  4. I agree with Khokar verbatism.

  5. Sher ali is typically following the mentality of weak and emotional Pakistanis who loose their patience after seeing defeat in this field. There is strong chance that match fixing might be involved in this game but technically NZ showed its superiority and won this match. This is lowest form of sports man spirit that we put blame on one person for the defeat of a whole team.If we luckily won the 20/20 by chance after poor start then it does not means we have become technically strong team. All know that now our team has chronic disorders of performance and everything is dependent on fluke basis so after analyzing their real performance one should consider it blessing that they at least qualify for semifinals.

  6. Dear Mr. Sher Ali,
If I am a bit more blunt than Mr. Khokar, then you are an idiot, period!
Our team played well, they were outplayed by a superior side on the day. Younus Khan has been a very vice captain, and later captain. I wonder what your reaction would have been following the 2003 World Cup? Instead of demonising the team and the captain, for once appreciate their efforts and wish them the best for the future. Emotions should not be always be just let loose.
As far as Madam Nazia’s comments about match-fixing are concerned, please just let this chapter close here. No need to always find an alliby.

  7. I am not sure about this match fixing but I have seen serious betting of billion rupees on Pakistani team during matches in some top class clubs of US.So I have just an apprehensions about it after seeing this other wise I have no real proof for it.by the way there is no alibi on such matters but we are convicted for it many times.

  8. You are just a Sore Loser!

Learn to accept defeat, these two Pathans won the T20 WC they were heros

one team had to win, one had to lose

frankly speaking NZL was a better team just compare the group matches, pak won from WI C-Team
defeated india and lost to AUS,

    NZL were a better team

  9. Mr Sher Ali,

You are an Idiot, through and through.
Pakistan got to the semi-final because of Younis’s captaincy. and won the T20 WC because of him, and a “small” contribution from Afridi.
Pakistan are over achieving at the moment, they only have an average side.
No great bowlers any more, still an average batting side and awful fielding.

Do you have anyone in mind to replace Younis as captain?

  10. @6 follow this news and then read my comment 7 for your theoretical grooming,
