Yes we are Wild and lets face it…

First in #Sialkot, next outside your front door. That’s how it usually goes when you let things like this ’slide’. #Pakistan
This was not just a line to me, as it has become one of the reasons that finally, I am writing this post. I know so much has been said and covered about this event. In addition, I am sure while I am writing this few more stories related to this incident have been able to successfully make their place on the cyberspace. Then why I am writing this? Do I have something new to say? Alternatively, am I just doing this to get some share out of the hot cake of nowadays? Or am I just writing this to show my grievance on what happened to the poor boys and to write some burning words to show that I am extremely angry at all those who took part in this brutal noble cause.
One might be right when thinking about the reason of this post and relating it to the any above-mentioned reasons. By now, I was considering all that happened as bad, though I still think the same. But somewhere deep down in my heart there was something that provoked me to write this, maybe my inner self does not want to stand at the lowest stage of faith and motivated me to write this one to make sure that I raise my voice against the bad.
Almost everyone is aware of what happened to those two brothers who were killed after an exhibition of brutality. I have been scared for the past one week or so not because of what I see but because of what I have observed. This whole society is turning into a bunch of wild animals; we prefer to burn the dacoits and thieves and kill two innocent boys and never let the decisive authority to do its job.
When I think about the reason behind that entire dark chapter that has been written almost a week ago I fail to find the reason, jealousy, rivalry, misunderstanding, or just to show might. Still there is no reason that justifies the killing of a human. As a nation we love extremes, yes trust me we love to make sure that we prove that we are wild, and this is one of the reason such incidents took place and we are forced to face the outcome of such attitude in the form of terrorists, extremists, and careless and cruel rulers and leaders.
The city that gave birth to the person who came up with the idea of Pakistan, the city which has always been related as “Shehr e Iqbal” (City of Dr. Alama Muhammad Iqbal) is in the news for such brutal incident. The city that was famous for the sports goods industry is now being related to something which cannot be called good in any sense.
Every one is suggesting the punishment and sentence for the people involved in all this, even I suggested one, “There is no need of suspension of the staff of the police station, they better be dismissed from the job as we don’t need executioners in the suit of rescuers”. Well many other things were in my mind and if I put them here, they will be the best proof to support what I said about being naturally wild.
I believe justice is must in every case, as that is the only thing we can do to those two poor souls. We can never give the sons back to the mother who lost them; we can never even repay what the little sister of those kids has lost. Still something must be done to make sure that such things never happen again and for that, we have to work on molding the mentality, education is not the only solution as realization is the real thing that can make people think and decide what is good and in what terms. We need to transform back into the humans else this wild fire will take many other lives.
I do not know how I should sum this all up. Therefore, I think I should share a piece of poetry that one of my friends shared:
اقبال تیرے شہر میں
یہ جو ظلم ہوا
، یہ کچھ کم نہ تھا
، نہ زمین پھٹی نہ آسمان گرا
،مغیث و منیب کا تھا قصور کیا
ملی انھیں کس جرم کی سزا؟
اقبال تیرے شہر میں، کیا
ایک بھی صاحب درد نہ تھا؟

Sometimes silence leads to more crimes and injustice; it certainly is a possibility that if we’ll keep on watching these injustices in our society then one day it will be widespread and might become the norm of our already declining society.
