World Food Day:Please Contribute Practically!

World is observing “World Food Day” on Oct 16, 2008 under the dark shadow of food crisis all over the globe, especially in developing countries like Pakistan.
I appeal to our all readers that please take some practical steps to provide atleast one time meal/food to poor and hungry human beings living near you. Just try to feel the hunger of them by looking in their hopeless eyes. At least they will get one time food on this so called “International Day dedicated to Food”.
May Allah help us and guide us in right direction and let us to understand that there is nothing superior than Humanity, when a question arises for its survival.

its nice appeal and we should consider this for through out life…not for one day only. also our leadrs should think about it.
One billion people sleep without food every night. Thanks to the Almighty we are not amongst them. Pray to God for food for all living beings. Cement Constructions and imposed wars are two major land and crop eating phenomenon, we should also re-think about it.
In agriculture countries it is very easy to manage this food crisis and it only require the will of govt and rich people to minimize the -ve effects of such food crises on our people.In one side there is serious hunger problems in our country and other side in weekends hardly you would find any parking space in front of restaurants all over the country.On personal or family level we can take some steps to help hungry people around us.
-Avoid dining out and encourage our kids to help needy family with this savings.
-Instead of giving money and food items to needy family give them food producing items or teach them techniques in food technology. i.e distribute farm animals through zakat or sadiqa money .give them seed and fertilizer and help them to utilize nearby space for their food production.
Each affordable family should take responsibility of two times meal of at least one old couple living near to them as now they are the most neglected living being in our culture.

MashAllah you all suggestions are excellent. It is no need to mention but for encouraging others, I promised with Allah few years back that I will give certain percent of my monthly salary (in addition to Zakat money) as Charity, and doing the same.
May Allah give us courage to do more for others.
