Will Musharraf Appear in court ?
By Salman Mugsi • Jul 23rd, 2009 • Category: Politics • 41 CommentsIf Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and Muhammad Ali Durrani are still advising to General (r) Pervez Musharraf, then there is every possibility that Musharraf will stubbornly and arrogantly land in Islamabad to face the court of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. But if he has got an iota of sense in his mind to enjoy the booty he accumulated with impunity he will remain confined to his London rathole.
The refusal has already started from the servants of Musharraf at Chak Shahzad farm. Media reports say that the staff of Supreme Court showed up at former president Pervez Musharraf’s farm house to deliver the SC notice summoning him before the court on July 29 but the staff present at the farm house refused to receive the notice.
Musharraf is already in action. Pervez Musharraf held consultations with senior lawman Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada and former attorney general of Pakistan Malik Muhammad Qayum. Old habits die hard, but this time even the characters like Pirzada and Malik Qayyum would be unable to save his skin.
How badly we all wish that he comes back in arrogance and gets hung by the court ruthlessly.

I guess he will send along an army of lawyers (liars).
Why should he? He has the right to question the very composition of the bench that comprises judges, all of whom were dismissed by him in Nov 2007. How can such a bench be considered as unbiased?
Its only Islamist Extremists and PML-N anarchists who are creating so much fuss in the media on the need to try President Musharraf. The common man has a great degree of respect for the former president ! Let bygones be bygones! Digging into the past is useless. Our country is already facing a great number of crises. Time to move ahead now!
I think Musharraf Sahab should stay away from biased court. Why I said them biased because since the day judiciary has restored they have been giving all verdicts in support of Nawaz et al. Moreover they have only “picked” Musharraf out of the long history of Pakistani;s Marshal Laws, Emergency etc. If our judiciary really want to clean the mess then they should start from zero and catch all those culprits who supported dictators in past. Jamat e Islami, PML N etc.. and then Musharraf on his turn.
The former president is going to be “PAWITRE” in the “ASHNAN GHAT” of justice… As Nawaz Sharif and Zardari has qaulified their purity from.
When we were rioting for the sake of cheif justice we actually were qualifying him for the coming decisions he’s going to make…

Your last line says it all . Everybody is acting as per his wishes, may it be Nawaz Sharif, Iftekhar Chodhary or else. No law, no logic, no sense. Only hatred and revenge.
We did this with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and after 20 years we called it a judicial murder.
There are only few sold items like you, media and corrupt politicians and judges who have this wishful thinking.
A very large silent majority is supporting Pervez Musharraf and expect him to give a tough fight to these pack of hyenas and come victorious.
I dont think he will come in front of Court. When he was on seat, every body was with him but now every body left him. Opportunist find new places for themselves and he is unable to give any thing more to those so why they will stand with him.
Ethically, those who were standing with him at the time of his peak should also stand with him now. Why they left him alone now. This is simply non sense and trying to derail from actual topic that why he should come in front of biased court… Why these people dont ask their lord that please give statements in favor of Musharraf. Why they went back in holes… Come out and defend his case now. I really feel sorrow that Mushi did so much for them and now they left him and sit in the laps of one other Jagedar. Shame on these double standards.
At this time it looks very difficult as US and UK management is still taking care of their poodle as per promise.Every body knows that how western people love their pets.it is history of white house that president ususally come with one or two kids but they have 4 and 5 pets always with them,We asians cant understand this philosphy as here we have different values.
Secondly all present generals have got benefits through his orders.So in army circles this thing count very much and as per repute full power and under hand deals would be created to save their ex general.
Nasir Aijaz… Who is selecting corrupt politicians and letting dictators to rule on us. We want justice as per law and nothing else. This time we dont need compromises and second options etc etc. We need simple justice and nothing else. Justice at every level of society… Who ever is corrupt, he should be punished and should make society clean from such people. But here people have double standards… says one things, actis some thing else. It is eating us simply. Whom you can trust in present time? Only systems should be fool proof and there should be strict check and balance system in Pakistan, otherwise no body will leave this country un harm. I observed peoples mentality from closely and I am not very positive about majority. people says one thing but they do some thing else.

It is true that Army officers now misses him because he made rule to bless maximum to officers in return of their minimum 15 job… Although the rules are not cancel but army officers greed is increasing day by day.. but efficiency is decreasing day by day… Big big bellies and corruption is common in Military sector and specially in Army.

COAS convoys move in 20 cars including two modern bomb proof black mercedez with two black modern pajeros in which jamming devices are seen,
another are mostly army 4 drives vehicles.When he has to go to Islamabad through out roads to PM or president house, the men of his units are seen covering the distance of 20 to 25 kms along with same amount of civilian forces with them
I really saw such kind of royal security arrangement for King of morocco when he was in official visit Even then his mercedez was old fashioned and he sits with his driver in front seat.
Occasionally he is found In Rabat by driving his own car but we never see our guards out of million dollar security plan.
All core commanders have either imported mercedez or BMW and on their retirement they can take it as gift from poor country for their services.
Their pay packages and perks after retirement is almost 3 or 4 times than ordinary 22 grade officers of same country.
All this was possible in musahaef raj so why they didtn come to support him.
Why only former President Musharraf? ? If the courts are so interested in making example of military dictators, they should try Zia and Yahya Khan and award posthumous punishments, such as disinterment of the remains of these dictators and dumping them on garbage.
How can one call it a new dawn and consider it a moment of celebration. After all President Musharraf was the best of all military rulers, he didn’t hang an elected Prime Minister, and did a great many good things for our nation. So then why the courts are after him?

You’re right, Musharraf Sahab shouldn’t pay heed to these biased proceedings. All 14 judges on the SC bench are those dismissed by President Musharraf in 2007. All these judges have their own grudges against the great man. Why doesn’t the court bring to justice the perpetrators of 1997 attack on Supreme Court??

simple things are not coming in the mind of people that court is not taking suo motto action on Nov 3 illegal act of head of state,
He himself declared on TV that this act is above the law,In civilian or military there is only one law all has to follow and nothing is above law but surely below laws.
Nobody in love of musharf is asking him why he was afraid of these unarmed judges as emergency throughout focussed on judges and their families and Pakistani media.All other were free to move as per his orders.
Nobody is thinking that why he was so afraid of their house wives and school going kids.first time in the history of Pakistan judges were house arrested and tried well to bribe them again and again in the form of another good positions, lucrative deputations and not a single charge was ever filed against these confined judges even giving full authority to Dogar court.
Nobody has any clue that why this general shed his uniform ,then resigned from President seat in which he was selected for 5 years and allowed by SC order too.
Ok We are senseless people he has extra ordinary jobs for Pakistan then why he left his homeland and selected another residence as 2 nd rated citizen,

Very strange—the supreme Courts of Pakistan has also started making fool of Pakistani peoples. I bear repeating here that the ex-President Pervez Musharraf was the President of Pakistan duly accepted and validated by the Supreme Courts of Pakistan till his last.
Where the man has been asked by the Supreme Court to give his reasoning and explain that why he felt necessary to bring about, seemingly a stern action that he took on 3 November and declared an emergency in the country? Here declaring of emergency in the country and whether it was President’s prerogative to declare emergency or not—- that may not be the question but it is pertinent to note that his 3 November action was duly validated by the supreme court of the day.
Where as the ex-president is being taken to the task and asked to put up his explanations—but why this larger bench of court must not be asking the then CJP and his courts that why after all they validated his action ad under which law and regulation?
Will his Highness the chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Choudhry who recently got reinstated by the present government will also be kind enough to consider the NRO case and bring the President Zardari and his government on the mat also?
Will the CJP also explain that why after all he himself felt justified validating the very initial takeover in 1999 by General Prevez Musharraf?
Is the act of declaring of emergency in the country is a bigger crime than the take over of country by a military action?
It is certainly an effort to making a big splash and a sensational news generated by CJP for media but keeping in view all above; one thinks that has, just the sheer absurdity become the only way of our lives in Pakistan?

I think the way court started its work.. NRO will be also removed. Dont get angry on this case. He has to pay price of many issues also. You forget every thing in the love of Musharraf, otherwise he couldnt even make a singel dam in Pakistan.. and whole country is suffering with extreme load shedding (except VIP areas of Pakistan).
It is very easy to comment while sitting in USA and in AC… but this load shedding chokes whole system of life in Pakistan.
For me, Musharraf and his kid of people should go in Hell… I damn care about them. Common Man want prosperity in country. They need 2 time meal with respect. Pakistan will not die if he will be sentence to prison. Only those people lives in the hearts of nation, who do some thing good for country and its people. He though that he will keep occupying this country till his death but it is Pakistan, not Egypt. Every start has its end and now he has to pay price of his actions.
As I said— it is just CJP show off and an effort of making of a big splash and to initiate a playlet for the Media to make it more sensational. Probably his own guilty concious is now pricking him—and—Nothing else!
Court larger bench has just asked for a simple explanation of one of a former action taken by Musharraf.— Musharraf need not to appear in the court. Some lawyer may come and hand over the paper.
In COAS plane hijacking case, Nawaz Sharif was sentenced with a huge fine and some 14 years of prison for his crime that court of the day awarder him basing on the evidences presented to court.
President Musharraf while exercising his powers, in a way pardoned the man and Nawaz Sharif also signed an agreement to live an exile life for a given time.
Today few years down the line; strange enough— Nawaz Shrif Stands clear of all those charges. It is not the case that those very evidences of the subject crime have been refuted. They very much stand there but this is expertise crafting and manipulation by the ‘able hired advocates and the judges of the day’ that man stands free.
Seat of power in Pakistan is up for grab and a Journey to the seat of power is on—.
And certainly in my Pakistan—in the courts only money works and to grab the seat of power court may enable the adventurist to make a headway— say a gateway and set you on that passage.

lets see how law and justice makes its way to strongest and corrupt pillar of state.They have no physical force or baton in their hand to implement the law of state.They are working under their restricted domain.Everybody has the right to challenge them.Even you can do it ,This is called justice for all and any time.Just wait and see .Its a very slow process and slowly slowly you get use to of it.Actaully you people are use to of quick command order and act without thinking.Here things are different.
For simplicity just take like that first 22 grade general had ordered to arrest 60 judges of 22 grades and2o grades.Now petition is filed that 22 grade general couldnt remove and house arrest 60 judges along with families by halting all civilian rules in the state.
Now it is your first lesson if you somehow swallow it then will go for another one. ok
