Why Must Taliban Remain Shrouded in Mystery?
By A Khokar • May 22nd, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 14 CommentsAs per the demand of Pak Army operation ‘Rah e Rast-4′,— millions have been asked to vacate their homes in Swatt–Malakand in view of their safety so that subject operational areas are cleansed of savage Taliban effectively. But this evacuation has resulted in an exodus of a worst kind and there is a dire need that displaced people should be looked after and taken care of, in the best way that we can.
Other than the government that its busy in gearing up its machinery to meet the new challenges arising out of massive movement of people; Alhamdo Lillah; general masses are also coming forward to help our displaced brethren and their families. They deserve to be looked after but it is seen with concern that whereas our media is giving an extensive coverage of displaced people and the scanty laid out camps erected to accommodate the IDPs. But there seems to be a complete black out and no investigative reporting what so ever about the Taliban who have turned the beautiful heaven of Swatt into an inferno— like hell.
Displacement of peoples is a repercussion, a fall out of the actual problem which happens to be the infiltration of Taliban into our society and their continuous existence. Why they were there at the first place? Who is funding them, why they have been trained as such and why there was a total media blackout while they were breeding. Why this menace could not be taken care of; prior to its growing into monster that today they are able to challenge the very existence of our country.
Reportedly Taliban have got numbers of very well built strong holds and are offering very tough resistance to our well equipped Army. They are using the most sophisticated arms as their close quarter battle weapons. They are also in possession of antipersonnel mines and are effectively using anti aircraft stinger missiles and rocket launchers. Seemingly they also enjoy an upper hand in ground mobility.
Question arises that;
- Why an investigative reporting about Taliban is missing on the media even now?
- Why activities of the battle field are being kept off the scene.
- Why there is no, ‘Naming and Shaming’ of the actual founders of this group of Taliban and other abettors found even in our ranks and files.
- Or is this operation where millions are found displaced and thousands will consequently perish; was mere a show, staged as a booster for the over stretched visit of President Zardari abroad to enable him to get his begging bowl filled?
Our Armed forces are carrying out their assigned task; they will carry out the way they do. They have their ways and means. But this Battle seems to be very tough and scores of military officers and Jawans have laid their lives in the line of their duty. Our Armed Forces certainly need our moral support and they must be fully supported in this operation.
Our Media need to be embedded with the front line armed forces for realistic reporting. Rather than acting as some freewheeling outsider agents; they must play a positive roll in uniting the nation. At the moment they are carrying out just superfluous talk shows and are keeping the public bogged in IDP camps issues. Battle field reporting remains very sketchy and speculative.
We may be calling Swatt issue, an internal security operation but is not the case that our enemy, after infiltrating our front lines defences has been successful in engaging our armed forces right in our heart lands?

Its seems like ISI controls the Taliban. Of course we all know that CIA created the Taliban.
The Pak Generals are playing a double game of deception.
People from FATA were removed from their houses and then it is SWAT. Rehman Malik was quick to ask the people to vacate their houses, maybe he wants the Swat real estate for cheap.
We all were shown a plan of divided Pakistan, Maybe its our own armed forces trying to bring the divide.
You seem to know the problems and its solution, you must be next in line non elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, Na janay kia Kho kar.

understand that even today there is no ANONYMOUS resolution in your national parliament about this operation like the one on NIZAM-E-ADL. Many in your hiegher echolons of power consider this operation as the one carried out at AMERICAN BEHEST not in INTEREST OF PAKISTAN though they are the ones who have been reciveing all the dollars and send their sons and daughters to UK/USA. It is ordinary patriotic citizens of Pakistan like Miss India who see the truth through their friends in SWAT or Army.The operation pechnar was going horribly wrong and para commandoes were to be air dropped and even American special forces were there to intervene as per some blogs i read.

YES; of course— slowly, slowly. I am reaching there where I used to say and all others have also stared realising the chilling facts that this nation is facing now. Realisisng it but slowly- slowly [1].
These are the chilling facts that Pakistan as a nation has failed in guarding its sovereignty and sanctity of its physical as well as ideological borders. Right from the inception of Tehrik e Taliban, when its intention were coming to light we failed to single them out and failed to recognise them as the traitors.
You can’t say that I did not come up or reduce to writing what all I knew; at least you can google me out or see under ‘A Khokar’ on this forum.
When most of my friends here were bent upon rewarding this Tehrik with religious titles and this Tehrik; the copy cat, in disguise were moving about, having the policy of;” Run deep, Run Silent” and were very much relishing the Sharia label that people were trying to pin on them; I have been crying that they are the wolves; and why they should not be declared Traitors of Pakistan.
We got late there to recognize them and today we see; in what mess we are?
This cancer has got its hundred and one dimensions and is trying to infiltrate deep into our society.
We have also got the people who are the co-founder of this savage org and they were having their government in NWFP then. They are also the staunch ally of present day government in the centre and active as the lobbyist in the corridors of Islamabad. We are again getting late on Naming and Shaming these culprits.
While this Tehrik was trying to take off; even the present day NAP government had initiated a move of the Pakhtunistan which would include the area starting from Kabul- Jalalbad to far end of Attock ending at the banks of Indus river in Pakistan; remember when I gave you the glimpse of the 40 feet long hoardings showing new map of Pakhtunistan erected by the NAP government on the NWFP high ways; written with; Hakumat say manzoor shudaa.(displayed with the sanction of government).
This Tehrik was proving to be inspirational movement for the defunct and other religious denominations in Pakistan also. They had started filling their sails with the whirl wind of Taliban Tehrik and were seen reviving them selves with their vicious designs up their sleeves. Ironically it includes PML-N and JI also.
They had the seat of power in Islamabad is in sight but with the back door entry. They will like that Taliban Tehrik must live, even now and they will try their utmost to grant it a life; their dreams were about to come true but Alas the present Swatt operation is resulting in shattering of their dreams. A sense of desperation can be seen on their faces.

Well; when there is a war; countries falling with in the battle zones or the one directly or indirectly affected by the war are bound to fall in, in some sort of alliance and rightly so Pakistan was taken in, as ally in the current War fought against Terrorism.
Job assigned to the Ally Pakistan was to ‘fight the fire’ as a front state. Pakistan was fighting the fire and USA has agreed to pay the bill. Every thing carries a price tag and it will be cynical to say that such and such amount was paid to Pakistan. Dollars paid to Pakistan was no; Punney (in Hindi) charity; it is the bill amount that was paid for the services carried out. To make any sort of woofing at this stage for a paid up job; which is now done and dusted; is not just, as I said, cynical but most absurd and reflects the lowly mind of the initiators.
As we all know it very well that US forces are ever since, waiting in the wind and are looking for any lame excuse—- to avail an opportunity to drive through into Pakistan. May it be in the name of helping Pakistan in the current Swatt debacle etc.
General Mike Moulin recent remarks are worth noting where he says that owing to the planned surge of US forces in Afghanistan that an influx of some 20000 more troops is being done before the end of year and this will make the Taliban in Afghanistan to escape the troops onslaught and they are likely to trickled down to Pakistan. What an absurd anticipatory announcement and setting of the grounds.
Although Tehrik Taliban, the traitors are being eliminated in Pakistan. Earlier on they have done a good ground work for their godfather but I don’t think so that Pakistan will be ticked down for this.
The matter of Traitors TTP in Pakistan is already being taken care of. Pakistan Gallant Armed forces are busy to root out the very ‘bamboo shoots’; which Taliban or the oppressor; USA ]may make use and make some ‘flutes’ out of it. { naan rahey baance; naaan bajjay banseree}
Jhonn; I also envisage that; that day is not far off now when India will also be sizzling in the inferno and be seen falling in the same pits that it has been digging for years to trap in Pakistan. [Apney hee Karmoun ka keya, dharra ho gaa.]

Please ignore few typo and it is ‘waiting in the wings’ and not ‘in the wind’.
By the way that may also be right that if they make a move in the wind blowing now a days in Swatt; it is whirl wind and they will have a good taste of it. But they are the choclate soldiers and only move in; not to face other armies but to hoist their flags on ruins.

Don’t you think that the problem which everyone knows here as Taliban are the same people who were sent across the border by your and American intelligence units to handle Russians in Afghanistan. They had all the power in Afghanistan, till Americans and its allies, which includes you thrown them out of Afghanistan.
Now they are grouping back and wanting to take control of the area again. They are increasing their power in Afghanistan and in the same way they are also increasing their grip in Pakistan.
There are few people in Pakistan military setup who still think they are assets and should be handled with care as they can be used later on their enemies, like India, which is going to hit hard Pakistan. This attitude is not going to sustain for long. Some day someone will take care of this thing and at that time Pakistan will be end up being destroyed.
The Americans will be the first to raise their hand in case they have to attack Pakistan.
Choice it with you guys, think now and attack on it.

On this forum this has been told times and again, especially to you also that the Taliban fighting a legitimate war of freedom in Afghanistan, where they want to break the shackles of the foreign occupying forces are altogether a different identity than the copycat stooges called Tehrik e Taliban(TTP) who have recently been trying to break hell in Pakistan.
Formers have the connection with the old Taliban who came into power in Afghanistan after Soviet Union’s departure but were later deposed after 9/11 by US invasion and ever since they are at run. Owing to the porous border between Afghanistan and Pakistan; allegedly they also keep on moving to and fro.
The other group operating in Pakistan was raised, few years back by CIA and RAW of India, with the aim to carry out subversive activities in Pakistan with an aim to destabilize it and deplete it to the extent that it is found economically vulnerable and then be defanged by debarring it of its nuclear assets. [1]
Reportedly this group (TTP) is fully supported and equipped as well as trained by adversaries of Pakistan; who also keep on manipulating the political situation around Pakistan in order to facilitate their subversive activities.
About Afghani Taliban; Pakistan is not much bothered. But we have our own TTP issue at home and lately it has been decided that this group must be exterminated like the one we have recently seen in Sri Lanka that LTT has been exterminated totally. Accordingly a cleansing operation is on in Malakand-Swatt under the name of military operation: Rah e Raast-4.

Do you think that general naseer ullah babar, gen hameed gul, gen mehmmod and now gen tariq majeed are our adversaires who always supported taliban culture In our region.Except gen taruq majeed as he is still on job and not on retirement package so he didnt say any thing on this issue .In this war time he is busy in his Austrialla and saudi tours for taking briefing from his bosses.
A letter written by gen Faisal alvi(late) has put his name on list of two serving generals who are in connection with some taliban groups in our mountain sides.This revelation was the reason of his daylight murder near his Islamabad residence.I hope you know his background that he was one of strongest general of SSG (hum piayla hum niwala of musharf) in 2000s combat mission of war on terror under musharf regime.Later on he was fired by general musahrf on immediate basis after developing serious conflicts on this war on terror issue.So his letter In the hands of UK journalist as his close relative is still a grenade to explode on performance of our top brass.
India is our all time rival and we have no doubt about it but on what basis or proofs we put blame on him as people living in Mianwali,kalabagh and DI khan areas know well that secret army camp were working here for many years under above mentioned generals for creating this talibanic breed .
House is first burnt by the negligence and mistakes of its owners after that foes come to put fuel on it if needed.
