Why Holbrooke Met With CJP Iftikhar Chaudhary?
By Salman Mugsi • Jun 10th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 11 CommentsWithout indulging in any of the conspiracies theories, I openly join the many tongues wagging at the meeting held between the US Special Envoy on Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke with Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Nation stands appalled. This is the same Holbrooke, who and his predecessors were ill at ease with even the mention of the restoration of the same chief justice and also this was the same chief justice who was hyper-active to the satisfaction of many Pakistanis about the missing people, who were sold to United States by the Pervez Musharraf. Now it would be an understatement to even say that this is painful to witness these sorts of meetings.
What is the office of Holbrooke with CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary? In order to cover things up, it is being said that CJP met with the Holbrooke on the advice of the foreign office. Since when the CJP has started accepting the advices of the FO?
Disappointment !!!!

please write something which makes us think. if you just write anything for the sake of writing something then you are wating your own precious time and enrgy and also of others who frequent this blog.
can you just give us an idea (3 points only) what transpired during the meeting?
In order to be a good blogger, jounalist, author you are expected to use your own brain power to analyse the situation and give your assessment (not what is spoken in tea houses).
These are clear signs of strong US dominance in our all affairs.When I mentioned this thing to DAN tow , he took it as normal routine matter but we take this as extreme US interference in our critical matters.he was surely gone there to observe CJP’s moral and character strength on his calculation for buying and selling business in our state affairs.
CJ Iftekhar Chowdary has proved time and again that he is selfish and corrupt to the core.
He took oath under PCO after Oct 99 and his conscience did not give any wake-up call till he was asked to clarify his position on the reference sent to Pervez Musharraf by the Prime minister.
He revolted once asked to resign, as he was losing all his perks and protocols, and job of course.
How he manipulated the reference with the help of his equally corrupt coterie by abolishing the Supreme Judicial Council, an act against the constitution.
He politicised his sacking with the help of foolish lawyers, opportunist politicians, bias media and kept the nation hostage for almost a year to pressurise the govt in getting himself reinstated.
He struck the deal with NS-AZ-Holbrooke for his reinstatement and now its his turn to pay back.
He cleared NS of all charges to get him qualified for the election.
He will not distrub AZ with NRO nightmares and keep a blind eye towards this issue.
Holbrooke wants him to forget the cases of missing persons and Afia Siddiqui and met him(CJ) to remind of his deal.
Now the position of CJ is very clear. He hoodwinked his supporters in the name of independent judiciary. He is selfish and corrupt.
His ignorant supporters felt bad about his meeting with Holbrooke. Imran Khan felt betrayed with this meeting and felt as if he and his party has been taken for a ride in this issue.
Similarly his die hard supporter, Ali Ahmed Kurd has shown resentment and denied to give his comments on the issue.

Its evident through news paper, that this is firstly message of Halbrook verybally forwarded to the CJP for meeting and CJP refused then he sent written request second time which CJP forwarded to Foreign Ministry, then Foreign Ministry arranged the meeting on request of Halbrook CJP didnot shown any wilingness to meet him but Foreign office ask him to meet so dnt make CJP personally involve in it.
One has to see International relations also.
So he had done nothing wrong because he meet with him while Foreign Office officials were present there.

The answers of your all questions are simply, no never, impossible, unbelievable etc until public will make them accountable in court of justice.
i think its not that kind of meeting ,it is only courtesy call by holbrook unlike dogars meetings.
Whether it s a courtesy call or a formal call. I don’t think so that the portfolio which is carried by Richard Holbrook as the political envoy of Af/Pak has got the right to go and give or seek any directions from CJP of Pakistan.
It is felt that this action has compromised his stature and has degraded the man who is responsible and required to uphold the dignity of Law of this country.
First and foremost is that CJP is supposed to say Big No to all such notions? Mr Holbrook is the small fish of waters of geo political issues and CJP has got no business under any circumstances to come and swim with these black fishes.
In any case that under the given circumstance if he was asked to see this visitor then a press communiqué must be issued from his office describing the necessity in order to to kill all the degrading rumour and speculations.
No doing so is not only giving a bad name to him as a person that he is another black sheep but it is also amount to degrading the sacred position of CJP.

I challenge them to get three years record of CDGK and their spending and investigate. I challenge whole geo news team, ask nazim of audit report, ask the list of payers of cdgk maintenance bill ( mqm dominated areas are not paying this bill) wah mustafa bhai ka kamal hay app kay such ka.
I challenge to kamran get the list of payers , he will be surprise that ppl of mqm are not paying
because they knows that this bill will be void.
Those who paid will remain looser, I am not all against mqm, they have done very good job, but their role to establish peace in karachi is different. Wah baber ghori, his photo was published in newspaper in which he was stamping on balot paper in some election in past.
