Why Dr. Aafia’s Children Were Also Taken By United States?
By Fatima Tassaduq • Sep 16th, 2008 • Category: Politics • No ResponsesDue to the immense pressure from media and the people, Dr. Aafia herself emerged on the scene and was first taken to a United States military base in Bagram, Afghanistan and then flown to New York, where she is facing charges of assault on US military personnel in Ghazni. During interrogation at the base she picked up a soldier’s rifle, “announced her desire to kill Americans” and fired miss shots at US soldiers and FBI agents, the US indictment alleges.
Now gradually the whereabouts of her children are also popping up. It is said that the youngest one died very soon the capture of Dr. Aafia, and now her son Muhammad Ahmed has been handed over by the Afghan authorities to the Pakistan, and the unconfirmed reports are that her daughter is still in the custody of the Afghan authorities, who have been molesting the kid and she is also lost her mental balance due to the tortured and indecent behavior by the Afghan authorities.
The question world must ask from United States is that if Dr. Aafia was wanted, then why didn’t they just take her away and why they also abducted her children and why they kept them also detained for all these years? So much for the most developed nation on the earth. Shame on them and shame on the barbaric Afghans.
