Who Will Save Pakistan? Musharraf Khan, Musharraf Khan

By Gul Raiz • Sep 3rd, 2009 • Category: Politics • 12 Comments

I went to Peshawar to buy a new CD player from the Bara market. These days it’s hard to get to the markets of Peshawar due to law and order and also due to dearth of smuggled goods but during the era of General Pervez Musharraf, despite of war in Afghanistan and terrorism in FATA, the city of Peshawar was lively and thriving.

I still remember on my trip, the red banners hoisted by the ANP’s Haroon Bilour on many roads saying “Kon Bachai Ga Pakistan; Musharraf Khan, Musharraf Khan”. It was true manifestation of Pushtoon love for the man who was the real savior of Pakistan and who dexterily kept the American in limit and put a check on the terrorism. He was the one who pursued the policy of carrot and stick and who controlled the menace of terrorism and was getting successful in wiping out the filth of pervious eras, but then our so-called democratic leaders showed him the door.

But now Musharraf is once again active and he has started his return journey back home. He has left London and have come to Saudi Arabia. The King Abdullah knows that in these crushing and testing times, Pakistan needs a leader with vision and strong mettle, and the  only option is Musharraf.

We welcome him.

  1. Look the the colors of power politics, our zardari group has attached the name of bhutto with them and has given unique example of destroying their identities just for sake of seat.
Same how easily syed musharf is turned to musharf khan. It doesn’t matter whether he come and occupy top seat through legal and right way of selection but at least don’t hurt her parents who first hid their identity by calling them syed and now turning it to khan category.Really our fake leaders are in identity crisis for their greed of power.

  2. I am surprised to hear that people took the Pashtun slogan of Musharraf “Khan” so seriously and are offended by it. I am even more surprised to see comparison of Musharraf “Khan” to Bilawal Zardari’s name change to Bilawal “Bhutto/Zardari”. A highly disproportionate comparison in my opinion.

I do believe that Musharraf did a fantastic job of running the country while he was in office but he did serve for 8 years (his 9th year was largely ceremonial). However, I am not one to support his return to politics. Despite the fact that, for now, he is quite possibly the best thing that ever happened to Pakistan, we have to move on and work on cultivating political leadership in Pakistan. There have to be plan Bs out there (actually plan A). Unfortunately, there is no political party or personality in Pakistan who is worthy of international recognition or who seems able and willing to lead Pakistan sincerely.

  3. Musharraf is bound to come back and will get Pakistanis rid of these fighter politicians once for all and we would select him life long president of Pakistan, Inshah Allah.

  4. Musharaff or No Musharaff, Corruption will rule the country of Illitrate people of Pakistan.

  5. Who Will Save Pakistan? Musharraf Khan, Musharraf Khan

  6. @4
It is no corruption only but corruption of literate people of Pakistan has ruled the illiterate people of Pakistan, Get the data the corruption is not lying in the pockets of illiterate representatives only but crook bureaucrats and technical experts of govt contribute maximum donation in the field of corruption. In the army, corruption had begun from higher authorities and still breaking the record of effete character in top brass but in zia regime it had started transferring in junior ranks and now you can see that even our captains are busy in exchanging DHA files in their messes without any guilt as this norm is being transferred to them through their seniors.

  7. We have ousted mush forever and now only place for him is the death cell.

  8. I bear repeating it here that this should be borne in mind that Pak military has always considered themselves the sole guardians and recognised as the only elite, faith full’s force working toward the up keep and safe guard of this country.

After a hand over of rein, now it is civilians turn that they have to come up with some messianic figure to be seen exceling the military well grained myth in our home land but probably those beautiful ones are not yet born.

We may be dam busy entangled in media hypes of Prevez Musharraf trial pursued by PML-N so vehemently for their political gains or the bomb shell of Jinnahpur maps dropped to counter and fix up PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in it—-but on ground —–we do find that at last our military finally decided to hand over the rein of this country back to civilian for a change and President Musharraf did hand over this country to run it on key turn bases. On this venture he only demanded a graceful exit for military which has not been granted. Our civilian government should accept this hand over a golden opportunity for them and should not look back; they ought to count it their blessings and start with building this nation forward on.

Our civil political forces have to show their magnanimity to say thank you to Pak military and go ahead with serving this nation in yet better way. If our politician cannot deliver their best the old saviours will be justified to revisit.

Keeping in view the present day anarchy and nincompoop seen installed atop; rather People have already started remembering the old time spent under military regime. People have not forgotten when it was all honky- dory. It was also a better peaceful era and prosperity prevailed all over.

  9. Yaseen Ch

    Death cell— on what charge?

  10. A Khokar

    >>>>>>>>Our civilian government should accept this hand over a golden opportunity for them and should not look back; they ought to count it their blessings and start with building this nation forward on. >>>>>>>>>>they ought to count it their blessings ?????

you sound like as if it was the army’s right to rule but they had a change of heart and took pity on the people of pakistan to allow civilian rule

    >>>>>>>>>>People have not forgotten when it was all honky- dory. It was also a better peaceful era and prosperity prevailed all over.

    ????

in 2002 operation in S. Wazistan started and since that day the war has spread throughout the country, which era are you talking about? pre-historic?

  11. Khokar you say

Our civilian government should accept this hand over a golden opportunity for them and should not look back; they ought to count it their blessings and start with building this nation forward on. >>>>>>>>>>they ought to count it their blessing,
where is civilian government in whole scene for last year.
Did they pass any applicable and practical legislation for civilian govt?
Did they take any measure to help the civilian masses who are badly in need of good governance?
Bureaucracy is same as working in musharf regime so what is wrong going there.
Just think over it which are real events
High prices of living essentials are sign of strong civilian group.
War was escalated and covered 80% of our northern side with 35 m IDPS is looking you linked with civilian planning.
Defence budget is increased upto 4 to 5% is going in favour of common man.
300 parliamentarians are still unable to gather their courage to call an ex COAS in court of justice is indication of civilian superiority,
5 % increase of Taxes on civilian salaries for giving compensation to IDPs, do you consider both are victim of poor civilian management?

so I dont know what you conclude from above points but I am clear that this is pseudo democratic system , artificially created under the supervision of NRO+ GHQ .This will be dragged as long as our army would gain some strength to come back to commanding positions,As you once said
kambakht moon ku lag gayee hay chottithee nahee hay( sorry for my poor poetic sense).
So it is now obvious that this ad hoc system should be rejected and forced them to quit and space must be provided to much better team.

  12. THE HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL, PLEASE DO YOUR EFFERTS.

Worried… Pakistan’s condition economically is not really stable and every day the Government imposes new
Things, such activities may cause more damage…

    Where is “Independent Judiciary”?
    What Opposition’s roll in Government?
    What our Media are doing?
    What is Pak Army thinking?

You people known well that our Government took Foreign loans in 3-years are more than the previous Governments took in 60-years and nowadays State Bank of Pakistan are printing currency notes Rupee 2,000,000,000 daily to support the Government?

We are not bankrupt country but our Leaders made us. Ask them to bring their foreign assets and Bank accounts in to Pakistan and will see the change also en-force the following for everyone from top to bottom.

There are many steps but in my opinions, the first five simple steps to be followed without any delay.

    1. A-Z Government’s officials are prohibited to keep account/assets in foreign countries. Those already having such, must transfer into Pakistan, otherwise resign.

    2. A-Z Government’s officials are prohibited to establish/run any Industry and/or Trade otherwise resign.

    3. No one can take part in Election, who having dual nationality, foreign residency, foreign assets, foreign Bank Account/s and/or any Industry/trade etc.

    4. A undertaking from each participant of Election, Non having as stated in no.3, even Never thinks about, otherwise all National plus Foreign assets will be taken by Pakistan Government and no case will be lodged.

    5. Pakistan Visa must be same requirements/condition and even Fee as the applicant’s Country.

    6. Prohibited land/property to be sold other than Pakistan Nationals.

    7. 1-Province to makes unity for all languages (Pakistanis) also to minimize the Government expense instead Of 4-provinces.

    God Bless Pakistan…
