What Next: There is a wide spread anarchy lurking

By A Khokar • Aug 27th, 2010 • Category: Lead Story • 13 Comments

There is no doubt that since the date TTP started with its subversive activities in Pakistan; the other religious and under surface militant groups also picked up their memento and with a short period of time; the extremism has engulfed the entire country. There is a wide spread lawlessness and chaos all over. Although presently; the entire spine of fertile lands of Pakistan from the north to south along Indus River and its riverine are drowned in the most devastating flood of the history, paralyzing the life but the indiscriminate target killing in Karachi, and bomb blasts in other parts of country are still at the peak.

The current brutal killing of two brothers in Butter village Sialkot by the mob showing no remorse or any fear of God is most despicable sign of the extremism. It shows that how people have lost their faith in the law enforcement agencies and the higher courts. Rather than knocking the courts doors for the justice and securing of their rights; they preferred to take the law in their own hands. This is a most disturbing state of affairs for a nation— like Pakistan.

Just about two years back; the supreme courts of Pakistan which had earlier lost its  sanctity and its powers were debarred at the hands of a dictator which could not be reinstated by the new civilian government. But it was later reinstated by the public street power through long march movement. Supreme Court is indebted to this act of this resilient nation. Peoples are very much proud of this and are holding their heads high to see that a free Supreme Court installed by them is up there operative.  For them the institution of Supreme Court is a beacon of hope which grants them the freedom, their due rights as citizen and assures them a protected life in the country.

But how galling it is to find that all the recent orders passed by the honourable court; on some pretext or others, very flagrantly, they have invariably been ignored by the present PPP government; may it be the Supreme Court orders passed in case of NRO or  Zardari corruption cases, who happens to be the President of the country. Reportedly in Zardari’s money corruption cases, millions of looted money from Pakistan is  stashed in hefty foreign bank accounts.  It is noticed that every single order of Supreme Court is sidelined.

Tragically; when the public sees it that high up class are making a mockery of their seat of power and can easily get away with by ignoring the Supreme Court’s orders for their own benefits; realistically speaking, the courts are depicted here as toothless stooge. Although, the courts judges may be seen cutting and passing some emotion mixed sarcastic remarks which shows desperation on their part but they find that their orders are not being implemented. The Judgment of Supreme court does require an authority of the judges and not the huff n puff of their grief.

This reeking murk of government high up and their mockery, when travels down ward to the public arena— strangely it is translated into a different kind of perception about the state of courts. Strange sort of clichés start emerging and are circulated among the masses. The status of the courts is seen compromised and it is taken as the real truncheon of power to pass law as well as decide on the judgment rests wholly with the high ups of ruling class and not with the courts. The more blatant is the ruthless arrogance which is often orchestrated by the various governmental mouth pieces and in ditto, it is aired by our freewheeling media which results in spreading of despondency among the public.

Courts are also not considered potent enough  institution having their final say; thus people are seen slipping into a state of hopelessness and eventually they may stop fearing the law of the land and the respect for the court and their orders.

In the Sialkot incident the agony and the grievance of the house hold who supposedly were robbed and that one of their young relative was also killed in scuffle with the robbers; their tragedy is one thing, but if they— or the mob who killed the suspected robbers had a faith in the law of the land or in the courts; they would have not indulged in killing the two brothers so brutally in broad daylight .

This is sure a sign that law and order is totally seen paralyzed and it is rendering country a lawless state. What next; eventually the wide spread anarchy is likely to fill the gap.

For the sake of sanctity and the rule of ‘law and order’ in the Country; the Supreme Court Judges ought to check their adopted course of action  and they must ensure that court orders are implemented with authority in true letter and spirit.

Article 190 of the Constitution of Pakistan is always there by which Supreme Court may ask all the Executive and Judicial Authorities throughout Pakistan (that Includes Army) to come in aid of Supreme Court, in order to up hold the sanctity of the Courts and to make sure that courts order are obeyed and duly implemented .

  1. these are worrying moments when the rulers cant even have the killers arrested and tried in the case of the sialkot incident then how can they possibly run the country , and yes its seems like we are heading for disaster and on the other had our boarders are not safe with America eyeing us from the Afgan side and India keeping a clse watch on the other and both hoping to shed Pakistan, I am sure if a simple person can see this happening then there must be people within Pakistan who can also see this, but its even more worrying that there are no voices, someone needs to stand up to this increasing worrying times or else it could be too late, there are voices towards the military as Pakistan falling into a bigger hole and all that the pollitians can do is loot the country further more.

Our country is at stake and for the sake of ALLAH someone be it the Army, needs to do something right now because we are because of Pakistan, Pakistan is our Identity, our honour, our Izaat,Azmat and our shan and without it we are nothing…….

Oh ALLLAH please safegaurd my Pakistan

  2. The arrogance of present day government is very much evident where most of the court orders have totally been ignored- sidelined. Supreme Court may always ask the Army to come and take charge; so that Supreme Court’s orders are implemented in true letter and spirit.

Constitution of Pakistan authorises this action of the court. It says:

“Article190. Action in aid of Supreme Court.
All executive and judicial authorities throughout Pakistan shall act in aid of the Supreme Court.”

The defiant and cunning Zardari government is making a mockery of the present troubled situation in Pakistan. Any how this is matter of time that when and how Supreme Court asks the Army to do the needful.

  3. The dwelling economic and social scenarios have made people turn to violent ways to protest. This is high time rational and liberal people must come forward and try to play their part in lowering the violence in our society.

  4. Empowering our democratic systems can prevail the chaos and anarchy, as citizens we need to extend support to parliament so that the critical war on terror is not abandoned.

  5. Worrying moments in which citizens need to unite and think ‘do we really want such extremist ideas to promote’. It is time we require a ‘society makeover’ where tolerance is the key to affection amongst people.

  6. The present conduct of Zardari government shows that they have no intention to complete their 5 years tenure because—- the show of their perpetual inefficiency; corruption and bad governance toward the ened is likely to turn as disaster and politically they may find themselves doomed for good.

So PPP is doing all bad things on purpose; they are instigating others so that some adventurist may come forward and revolt against present regime. They are also expecting Judiciary to take some drastic measure to de-crown them or SC may asks the Army to take over—- This is also a best way of making others a scapegoat to take all the blames of their failures and follies. It may also puts their corruption on some back burners.

Thereby they stand a chance to at least come back for yet another scoop in the future. This premise, how much absurd it may look; later on does keep them afloat with an argument that they were not given enough chance to implement their plans.

Anyhow PPP and their cohorts through their extensive corrupt methods; have amassed enough monies in their kitties that they may go sit outside and live comfortably for next few years. (Repotedly Zardari durirng his visit to UK has purchaed another properties worth 144 million Sterling Pounds; source Azeem Tariq-ML(Q) told in Kashif Abbasi programme)

  7. What war on terror are you talking about Sadia….the where we are killing our own people that have never fought an armed struggle against Pakistan or the dirty war we are fighting on behalf or the west………please this is like words that the current regime use who are in power to do someone elses dirty work, first Iraq to help free the people, the Afghanistan to liberate the poor people and next is Pakistan to protect its instillations from the terrorists and to save the people of Pakistan…when are we going to learn…….

Empower the empire of Zardari and his croonies by giving them even more power…………my belief in so called democracy that is a mockery is not so good, my personal view is that we are muslims and islam is the only way forward. the further we run the more troubles we find ourselves in, some may admit it some may not but the truth is we have to return to our roots, our belief systems and not someone elses that teaches us to live like animals for their own personal gain and look how stupid we are that we actually believe what they say

  8. Khokhar,
I am happy thinking that you must be ashamed of what have you written against Pervez Musharraf and Shaukat aziz in their goldenera.

    Badi bewaquf qaum hey hamari

  9. 2007 February: Appears to be highly encouraging for Pakistan as several international financial institutions have painted a very upbeat picture of the current and future outlook for its economy.

Summary of the three reports of the J. P Morgan, the Merrill Lynch, and the City Group on the performance of Pak economy have already appeared in the press in addition to a very positive report of the World Bank released in Washington on “Doing Business in South Asia - 2007, which gives high marks to Pakistan in improving its business environment.

March 2007: What happens ONE MONTH LATER to obstruct & destroy PAK’s bright economic future?
And look into Pakistan economy at this time. This is a Tamacha to Anti-Musharraf people and media.

“Itne Jootey Parney chahyiey in logon ko ke shakal badal jaey, jinhon ne Pakistan ka kabara kar dia sirf sawa sal mein”

Aey Allah, in Pakistan ke dushmano ko (Aitazaz, Qazi, Hamid mir, kashif abbasi, Imran khan, lawyers of LM, Iftikhar hussain, Talat Hussain, nawaz sharif, ansar abbasi, kamran khan=all Besharam log) is dunya mein mein bhi saza dey aur aakhirat mein bhi jo sirf apni ana aur khooshi ki khatir mulk ka satyanas kar rahen hein

Inshah Allah, ab logon ko jald pata chal jaega key kon acha tha aur kon bura.

    Aameen!

  10. The murderers are not being arrested by the tout govt & India calling them Taliban is once again trying to sabotage the process of national unity which can be seen on flood relief issue. Anti Islamic lobby calls this National Unity as extremism & a threat for themselves. Some dirty politicians trying to destroy vast population by diverting the direction of flood from their under construction houses are not the least ashamed. The process of Justice has come to a standstill. Fake degrees exposure issue seems to have stopped in the flood destruction issue. But the devilish political filth is as it was. India committing unjust blood shed in Kashmir is trying to blackmail our Meer Jafar/Meer Sadiq lobby on the flood issue & they are totally sold out. May Almighty Allah save Pakistan from any further destruction & put an end to this devilish political filth altogether.

  11. AOM and Friends
They say that beauty is skin deep; but dilemma with Ashiqs like you is that they are so mesmerised and content with the beauty that they may not like to see beyond the skin or let others to peep through.

Musharraf was good or bad; his destiny is connected with Pakistan. But we need to see that this country itself, stands where?

In view of strategically location of Pakistan in this region; it is found that reportedly American have since established their deep rooted influence here and also are in control of the strategic and socio-economical institutions of this country. It is seen that practically Pakistan is turned into a satellite state of USA —- serving as outpost of US in this region.

In Pakistan only American programmes runs. Generals or the so called political leaders— serve there, as US proxy and Musharraf was one of them. In short; they are the stooges since installed to execute the given US plans.

In this process; may they be generals or the politicians; their conduct is alike. Since they do not have and neither have their say or have indigenous national programme of their own; so they make all kind of hay for their personal gains and benefits while their sun remains up. These slaves, they very well know their sell by dates and act accordingly. While they are unable to face the public for their doings; very sheepishly they trickled out—- for their refuge with their master in the west and also get a label of corruption when they start buying the properties worth millions; like Musharraf bought for himself on Edgware Road in the heart of London.

Anyhow; Musharraf era is in front of us which can be quoted as example. During his tenure, we saw an exceptional large influx of US money in Pakistan. This amaount was paid to serve as front line state in war against terror since waged by US and to act as decoy of this war. We also know that at the same time; Miss Benazir Bhutto–BB who was on self exile in US, was being nurtured as US robot; there upon we saw laying of red carpets by Musharraf for BB to come and take over the rein of government but sadly, after BB arrival, she was seen taking a defiant route.
Apparently; she was seen acting against Musharraf but US saw her as an emerging agent who could prove to be against their interests. A robot could not have defied her master and there upon she was eliminated before she could even take over—- and now after hand over by Musharraf; this present day government…. At each and every stage, we do see that there is nothing; which one could claim that; it has the imprints which have the vision or the national plan since generated by Pakistanis or it’s so called leader installed by US.

Musharraf although is a spent cartridge but he was here till US wanted him to be. He was plucked out and placed defunct; even when he wanted to be here.

Forget about him; that chapter is since closed.

  12. Sorry if you find some typos above

    Thanks
