we have no proper information .... Did we search out the Holy Quran? Did we ever hold a book of Hadis?Do we know what islam really says?1st of all we must know (all the aspects of the matters on which we are discussing inadvertently. In the islam if a person slap to other muslim. equally behave we can do in wrath to that person. But this is not allowed if he is hitting you little a bit. you may destruct of his home or assassinate him. our government hit Jamia Hafsa people. The matter could be discussed. Government captured them and put them into jail. but they totally demolished Lal Masjid. This is not the home of any person. This is the home of God. Who made us who gave us everything who gives a power to man when he borns. But Men use their power against the God's Home. (Mosque is only that place where if any infidel sudden comes nobody can hit him because he has come in the mosque and mosque is the shelter for each human. But our muslim brohters or what ever muslim regime hit every innocent people even children also passionly. Wouldn't Allah will ask to them?if you want to reply of this question then i say again open the Holy Quran or Hadis, what happened to those who were against the people or messenger of God. ( and todays people and molvie also human beings like us. They can also make mistakes.

Assalam o alaikum

Was just going through some of the blogs here. I wont enter the debate about whether the people at Lal Masjid did the right thing or not. My query is very simple:

If it is right to phosphorus bomb criminals that destroy the normal walk of life or the writ of the government, then here is a list of people who should be next on the list:

- People who torched the Boulton Market in Khi (you have the footage, go get em)
- People who ransacked many cities in Pakistan following the murder of Benazir Bhutto (I'm sure many eyewitnesses will direct u to their homes where you can try and lob a grenade or two)
- Lawyers who roughed up many a courthouses during the Lawyers' Movement
- Student who took out rallies during the Musharraf era, clearly in opposition to GOVT rules that forbade it

So, bring out the bombs and take the country to pieces since you seem to believe that this is the best way to resolve a problem. Happy Hunting!

Assala-o-Alaikum,
Although I have been browing the net for quite some time and searching for material on Operation Silence, it is for the first time that I chanced to visit this blog. I had been reading the views of different people from the top downward and getting frustrated with each comment realizing how ill-informed most of us are. It seemed that the media and all the propaganda machinery has done its damage and successfully tarnished the image of those who demanded the implementation of Islamic Law in the country which was founded in the very name of Islam and for which more than half a million muslims willingly laid down their lives. I realized that people have quite willingly bought all the propaganda which was transmitted via electronic media.
However, in all this insanity, the views of Saqib Rauf and specially that of Nidaa came as fresh breeze. It is so unfortunate that most of us do not have any idea of the line of arguments that Abdur Rashid Ghazi and Abdul Aziz took and that most of us find it quite convenient to overlook certain facts that lead to holding the government and its functionaries responsible. For example, none of us accounts for the beginning of the crisis which was in fact the demolishing of certain mosques in the capital territory and not the forceful occupation of the children's library. The forceful occupation of the library was actually a reaction to this gross violation of the 'writ of Allah', but unfortunately this demolishing of the mosques was downplayed by the largely secular media while at the same time grossly highlighting the occupation of the library.
Although many books have been written and published on the issue and I have read them all, I found the one with the title of "Lal Masjid ka Muqadima Aeen aur Qanoon ki Nazar Main", to be the most well documented and well researched. It is written by a lawyer of the Supreme Court and he has dwelled upon the various legal aspects of the operation in detail. I shall recommend all those who want to know what happened in Lal Masjid operation to read it along with the articles of Abdur Rashid Ghazi which are published separately in book form.
I will not argue to change the minds of those who are not willing to listen to anyone voicing different ideas from theirs believing that "Opinion founded on prejudice, cannot be changed through argument".
Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa operation was the darkest episode in our history after the 1971 debacle.
We must try to understand the causes that led towards it in order to set the course of our history right. Please form your opinion only after you have done some fact-finding yourself instead of relying upon what is being reported via a source which is already prejudiced, specially because it hurts me to see my cousins Abdur Rashid Ghazi and Abdul Aziz maligned like they're done by some of the people above.
Besides, it is not for us to take upon ourselves the task of judgment which is the prerogative of Allah alone.
Regards to all.

Please don't shape ur thinking or don't write without facts.

I want to clear one thing that Lal masjid people were not actually interested in power. Fact is that they requested the govt that big evils should be finished from islamabad. But govt didn't took action against evils. So they took action against evils on their own. If govt is not able to take action against evils and lal masjid can take action against evils than they may be given government, because of their commitment to society. What is wrong with this? I already informed that they were not having any violent, extreme or negaitve agenda against liberal or secular people. If some body uses his powers for reducing evils than he has right to increase his power and he should go forward. Then it depends on planning and strategy that what success will be achieved. Lal masjid people were weak in this area, so they were not successful. But we can't say them wrong on the basis if they failed to get immediate success.

I already told that this is wrong information that lal masjid people damaged property or shops of any body. It is still not proved from reliable sources. Lal masjid were having a clear agenda and they accepted all steps which they taken against prosecution but they never accepted the blame of destroying business of any body. So this is illogical to say that they destroyed shops or attacked common man. Please follow the proved facts.

I want to explain again that they targetted only Prostitution. They never targetted common man. If u think that Prostitution is good and it is not damaging for society than you have right to say any thing

We are following america and helping him in killing muslims. We should not help america in killing muslims. we should take a principle stand and we should convince all world that america is not doing right.

In current situation, mujahideen are not happy with govt of pakistan. Govt of pakistan has a very controvercial position. Pak army and america has killed a lot of innocent children and people in pakistan. This also caused high anger in their relatives. Such angry people can be missused by any american, israaelee, indian or pakistani agency. Sucide bombing in pakistan is not agendaa of mujahideen. But this is due to wrong policies of Govt of Pakistan. Govt is giving full chance to anti pakistan elements to destroy the peace of pakistan.

It is my opinion that when some body wants to kill my family members than it is very shameful to help him in killing my father, mother, brother and sisters etc. But Pakistan is doing the same thing by helping america. I think death is better than such life. so pakistan should raise the flag of humanity and moral values and should not follow america.

1. Lal masjid people were not criminal because they worked for betterment of society of pakistan. They worked against prosecution and other big evils. This is totally wrong information that they ever destoyed CDs shops. Lal masjid people actually wanted that they should be no evil things in islamabad which are dangerous for society.

2. I want to make on thing clear that they were not targetting people on ideological basis. They were not having any negative agendaa against liberal or secular people. Please don't be impressed by wrong information of govt agencies. They were 100% pure muslims but having a stiff and weak planning against evil things. Due to their weakness on the media side, Govt succeeded in proving them controvercial and targetted them in a very brutal way.

3. Although Lal masjid people were following unbalanced approach, which was not successful in current world but they were true lovers of islam. Due to their commitment with islam, more than two thousand men and women accepted death but didn't left molana ghazi.

It is my request that if some body thinks that i am not on right track. Please give clarification against these three points.

Salim Khan, is Punjabi a "race"? I thought it was people of a province in Punjab which has two parts one in India and the other in Pakistan and all those people living there are called Punjabis and some of them speak the language Punjabi. Now you claim to be a different race. It is interesting development.

Are the sikhs also the same "race"?

I am not asking you to write in Punjabi. Why you tries to derail from real issue and going towards racism? Is this your tactics to prove yourself right and others wrong? If I'm Punjabi then I'm proud to be a Punjabi.

Its better to stop your comments here.
