We Cannot Forget Lal Masjid / Jamia Hafsa
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Jun 7th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 49 CommentsWhen more than 4,000 innocent students girls of all ages weren’t allowed to escape from the siege of Jamia Hafsa and Lal Masjid and they were burned down alive by the phosphorous bombs, then why should Pervez Musharraf be allowed to escape without any trial and punishment?
The brave and daring martyr girls of Jamia Hafsa wrote a new history. I don’t really think that the administration of the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa was right to challenge the writ of the government, and their try to erect a parrallel system of law and justice in the center of the federal capital Islamabad was justified, but how come that triggers a massive military operation on those students?
The then imported Prime Minister and now escaped still-to-be-indicted criminal Shaukat Aziz was approached by Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain of PML-Q, who told him that all the contentious affairs with the administration of mosque were settled, and now government should provide a safe passage to the besieged students and teachers. Shaukat Aziz brushed away the presidet of his party PML-Q, and told him that leave the matter where it was, and don’t disturb him as he was on his way with his wife to eat “Qulfi.”
Now that Qulfi-eating idiot has revealed a very serious secret. He has told the media that the operation on Lal Masjid was purely a military operation and not a civilian venture. Now that is something very thought provoking and alarming revelation. Shaukat Aziz was chief executive then, if he didn’t order Army to do the operation, then who ordered it? President couldn’t order it at his own, and he has to take Prime Minister in the confidence. Army chief could do it. Pervez Musharraf was, at that time, both the army chief and the president. So that means that he is the one who ordered the operation on Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, which resulted in the deaths of of thousands of innocent girls through phosphorous bombs.
Musharraf doesn’t deserve to get away with this crime, let alone the other gory crimes like breaking the constitution two times, and destroying all the institutions of the country, and snatching the hope, morale and confidence from the nation.

What Musharraf did with the innocent girls of Jamia Hafsa would haunt all of the nation until Musharraf is punished for that heinous crime. All these crisis which are getting worse are due to that Zulm e Azeem.
The heart aches still on that Zulm. Allah Hum Sub ko maaf karay.
I am unable to stand why episodic thinking in the form of convulsion has penetrated in to the thoughts and constructive mind of such literate people at large.
In Laal masjid /jamia hafsa/operation /innocent victims there was army /media /govt functionaries/beuorocracy/agencies /diplomats /international media /civil societies /ministries/paramedics, almost every concept and contest of life was totally engaged and monitoring the event .
Dialogue ,parts and parcel, relief in lieu ,swift release ,attractive offering with new places to establish the activity ,had all been advised ,but the stubborn activity of the two brothers did not matched any floated incentive ,disregarding the writ and negating the state that militants engaged will not be handed over to the government.
Nothing like the idea that phosphorus bombs and such massive casualties took place in the event.
Phosphorus bombs are not like that it will only affect the individual and not surrounding. What ever casualties took place during the event, it was because of selfish attitude of the brothers to hold the captives inside the masjid so to blackmail and utilized the plat form of captives as point of discussion.
Now body can deny as it was all shown by media, from kidnapping to attacks on diplomats, government establishments, and law enforcing agencies. Activity was up to the extent that no one surrounding the vicinity can tress pass the masjid without burqa and perda. Stick laden girls well aware of handling weapons were fully trained to curtail agencies to an acceptable retaliation. Diplomatic relations were compromised to the extent that china has threatened to call their men’s from all business activities.
Hundred of students escaped the event during few days of captivity. Delayed action was deliberately done to get maximum captives out of the masjid and the remaining were those that were well trained to react the situation.
In my opinion this issue is simply meant to provoke emotional abilities of people so to blame the military again ,although the said incidence was a proper police operation with military to support the LEA.
Give me a break! Law breaking thugs are now martyrs? The purpose of the government is to govern and not to babysit outlaws - Whatever Mush did - he did it late and he should have handled this nuisance sooner.
Similarly, if he has to go then he needs to be packed sooner as delays only result in more problems.

What Musharraf did in case of Lal mosque (which was not a mosque at the time of operation because of full scale combat from both sides) was for his own benefit or for the country and nation’s benefit?

I think only STUPIDS on this blog will agree that what jahil mullahs of Lal mosque (who had never learnt social sciences or international politics or foreign policy of the country) were doing the right things even if one sees them from religious point of view.
Burning of environmental ministry building, kidnapping of Chinese citzens, illegal occupation of govt. land for extension of Jamia Hafsa, occupation of children’s library and roaming around with guns around Islamabad. Where is all this in Islam?

Haveen’t you seen what happened after this stupid and insane Jamshed Kiayani’s interview, We should bring Shahid Masood and jamshed Kiayani into the court for irresposibility they shown towards Lal Mosque operation which resulted in killing of scores of Pakistanis i Danish Embassy attack . This attack has also tartered the image of Pakistan and Islam in the world.
About operation in FATA, I will repeat the same thing.
“The best thing in the interest of Pakistan is not to interfere in any country’s internal affairs officially or unofficially, remove all the foreigners from the area or get them registered with the govt. agency.
Destroy all the training camps from these areas and let allow the Pakistani law prevail everywhere in Pakistan.
That’s what Musharraf trying to do and there is nothing wrong in it but STUPIDS takes this simple message on to their nerves and ready to kill their own people and own army, for the sake of others.’
And the worst thing is some ignorant people are misleading people on this simple issue.
A person who was harming to the country and the country’s interest must be missing. That’s the least punishment he must get. I have no one in my family, freinds, local community or in far flung relatives anybody missing. Why? its easy to understand for anyone

Stop beating the drums of Lal Masjid. Lal Masjid was a foster home for all the terrorist with Ghazi sahib being their “God Father”. There was enough time for dialogue provided to them and they seized to surrender. In addition to this, white phosporous was used to create smoke so that our brave soliders could commit the opeartion to the best of their abilities. If I was in the army and incharge of the whole operation then I would have captured all the terrorist and would have hung them all. I would have made an example out of every single one of them so that no one ever could hav dared to get involved in such terrorism activities. Do you not realize that acts like these give Pakistan a bad name internationally? Lal Masjid negotiations were handled in the best way ever. Nothing better could have been done. The soo called maulvi’s wanted a plane to fly away abroad and wanted a pardon. If they were so great than they would have said Allah o Akbar and fought withouth dialogue. Unfortunately, hard line fanatics like them have now made Pakistan a sucide bombing state. All fantics like them deserve to die. Islam is a peacefull religion. People like you have destroyed the future of our generation now please dont try to diminish the future of generation after us. You wont lose anything but we might lose OUR PAKISTAN.
Lal Masjid was a place from where Islam had disappeared and replaced with guns, evil and craziness. They got what they deserved.

you said Jahil Mullah…for your kind information… Abdul Rasheed was MSc from Qaid e Azam University Islamabad. This university is not for stupids at all. just come and visit level of education in it. Its No 1 Public University in Pakistan.

Media was not allowed during final days of attack. Whole G-6 sector was surrendered by Army and Commandos. Gas, Electricity and Water was closed for whole Sector. They imposed Curfew on whole sector and thick Obstacles were laid all around Sector (G-6). Its not small sector. Whole community living inside suffered with hunger and thirst for many days. Then at final stage, all girls and Molana got convinced to surrender too but MUSHI is bloody Bastard who said NO in mid night and they killed every body inside at Fajar Time. Allah ka kehr nazil ho inn zaleel logon per jinhoon nay yateem bachioon ko maara aur aaj Nabi bantay phir rahay hain. Please dont make me angry. I’m observer of this whole scene so don’t make people fool.
Inshallah one day we will see Mushi death like Street Dog…who gets mad and people fires on his head. Insahllah.
I wish all the best in future but it not seems achievable with ease. We have to first teach lesson to all those who bring whole nation to this level so our new generation can learn from it. Before the incidence and operation took place, almost every channel of responsibility was utilized by the government from, request of Imam-e-kaaba, to the most prestigious religious scholar of Pakistan and other countries, but the answered to all acts of peace was taken as placebo.
As to your reservation that basic necessity of such elements were cutoff, let me allow negating you as in any recommended operation of agencies, it is the basic to cut off the supply line so to isolate and abolish the reserve by impeding in a virtual and decent manner.

Dear salim ,although I regard and own your comments almost every time ,but I think here we got to take discussion on the platform of state and its writ rather to float ideas under the umbrella of emotions and sentiments.
Decisions of the state are authoritative; dictations at the platform of state and its implementation are not acceptable. Move of the state is always according to the mandatory requirement, policies, internal and external requirement, traditional behavior, and directed towards implementing the writ so to curtail and refrain future events that may again become a menace.
There are two basic authorities within state that runs the machinery, the functionaries and administrative.
Functionaries are the decision makers that run the office by floating and exercising the law as circular whereas the administrative domain implement the requisite order as per desire and implementing authority.
The administrative machinery has multiple enforcing domains as legislative, regulatory, monitoring, vigilance, and security, e.t.c

Sir, you being a surgeon and very educated personality… let me ask simple one question.
If you comes to know that your Patient is suffering with Cancer and its at very beginning stage. Will you wait that this cancer should first come out on different areas of body or you will instantly opt for surgery so Patient can get rid of it in beginning stage and he not loose his priceless body parts.
This is question of whole Islamabad community that as this Masjid is in the heart of ISB, why Government remained silent and not took preventive measures to control his cancer like issue. Why he remained witness of girls attacking on few shops, attacking on prostitutes homes and later on kidnapped Chinese massage girls. If I can’t move while hiding small gun how Government remained unaware of their such bold steps and later they became force. It means Government was allowing them all this. As USA allowed Sadam first and then attacked on Iraq with excuse. Am I right??? You have to accept mishandling this case from Govt. side too. Otherwise I won’t be such big issue.

It is easy to blame a man who is not popular now for all the ills of Pakistan. I also donot support the dictator.
But lalmasjid operation was carried out because the Two brothers were so obssessed with their property, they will not allow innocent girl students to escape or they were so brainwashed that they remained inside voluntarily to act as human sheilds.
But as Dr.Raza haider has said this particular action was carried out when the Chinese threatened to pull out and NOT to please americans.
Sir, Our Government is unable to address these kind of issues at right time. I’m not targeting any one of government. I have seen, in whole middle east no individual can construct Masjid as per his willingness. He has to give application in Ministry of religious affairs that he want to build Masjid in such and such sector. Govt. will select place, will prepare design and will calculate cost. Then will inform the candidate that such and such cost is coming. If you can then give us and we will construct for you.
Means, Government is responsible for all this. Government has given one calandar to whole country Masjids that this n this is time of Adhan and Prayer. No different timings of Adhan i.e. very common in our country.
We people tries to avoid issue, when some body illegally builds Masjid on vacant places and later on if owner comes to know that his place is occupied with Mullah for Masjid…no body supports him and says Allah K azzab say daro. Tum Majid k khilaf ho rahay ho etc etc. Government should must regularize and implement social laws for the safety of poeple and their lives. Otherwise we won’t be able to control illegal killings in future too.
Please understand, we are moving on 2 extremes. Both are not in our favor. Try to follow middle path. Its good for all and for country too.
Dear brother, we can not put life threatening issues under the table and idea of controversial and unconventional act of unethical, untraditional, anti state activity, simulating in a manner of religious ethical compulsions.
One has to be very conscious to deal such issues that are presenting the features as religious ornament, especially in a country like our where emotions and sentiments as regard to religious belongings are more than fanaticism.
Delayed actions of the government to engage such madrassah’s are the result of similar approach.
Any such madrassahs and its runners are monitored from day one but the problem is their back roots that chain it up with more tycoons and buffalos of similar siblings.
Any such initial engagement by government is always countered at the portfolio of these chair bearers threatening to agitate in lieu at religious ground.
It is this threat that is always given weight age in countries where peoples religion, is the same as religion of the government.
