We are not Servants of Sharifs, Bhuttos and Imrans

Pakistan’s former prime ministers Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto went out of this world in unusual circumstances and as is expected in Pakistan, their parties declared them martyrs.

Ask from Ijazul Haq, son of former dictator General Ziaul Haq who died in plane crash, and Ijaz would call his father a martyr. From the ashes of Ziaul Haq emerged a politician called as Nawaz Sharif and now his whole party revolves around his family, just like PPP rotates around Bhuttos.

Now Bilawal Bhutto from PPP and Hamza Sharif from PML-N are new leaders in making. PPP has already declared son of Benazir Bhutto as the new chairman, and there is every likelyhood that the PML-N would follow the footstep of PPP and nominate Hamza Sharif (or any other Sharif) as the next leader of their party.

Now the cricketer Imran Khan is also playing dictator in his own party and hasĀ  become self-proclaimed dictator. He is worst than PPP and PML-N as he even doesn’t tolerate any other voice from within his own party. His own children are studying outside, and he has got no stake within this country. Building a hospital and a university are good thing, but does he consider it as an investment to become the prime minister?

But the real culprits are us, the people of Pakistan who vote and support these people. Don’t hear to these offsprings of these leaders. Our country is not some sort of family business of these few families. We need leaders, true leaders and not someone who got them from the laps of their parents.

  1. very right, two thumbs up for you !

  2. well, I consider Imran as a good leader. Vote off Imran, Bhutto and sharifs , then what other option is left?

  3. What about the self exiled MQM leader Altaf Hussain who has held Karachi hostage for the last 2 decades

  4. For the opponenets of Musharraf,

The decisions and actions taken by Musharraf and his regime against Lal mosque terrorists and Akbar Bugti etc., were surely not to gain any personal gains but in the interest of Pakistan. This is enough to prove Musharraf’s integrity and loyality to his motherland.

As far as Aafia Siddiqui is concerned, she is a US citizen and her brother is still living in America enjoying all the privileges. America has every right to demand any country for expelling its citizens to US for whatever reasons; same way as Pakistan demanded US for expulsion of Admiral Mansoor ul Haq and now demanding Hamesh Khan of Punjab Bank (and he is due to arrive Pakistan).

Lastly the reference against CJOP was perfectly as per Pakistan Constitution. The irony is Chaudhry Iftikhar (the so called Champion of Justice) has stopped the trial against himself and yet to prove himself innocent against the alleged charges labelled in the judicial reference.

  5. Ali Yar Khan I think You need a psychiatrist to get a good mental treatment. Your comments about Imran Khan show your lack of knowledge and a negative criticizing psyche. For your kind Information, PTI is the only party having free and fair elections internal to the party and every one in PTI has a voice and feelings and suggestions/ideas of every party member are highly appreciated by Great Imran Khan. You just threw the stones without considering the realities.
And I don’t know how you measured Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif and Zardari at same scale! Imran Khan is the only politician and social worker who worked for social betterment even without coming in the power. Has any other done such a great job of constructing a world class Cancer hospital? Who else has given such a great high standard college/university to this nation? Who else has raised voice so strongly against Drone attacks?
