US infringes Pakistani Sovereignty

By Arzoo Zaheer • Jul 14th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 5 Comments

Imperialism at its best.  Pakistan is being used as a pawn again. Politics is a dirty, dirty game. War is business.   People are being killed and their rights are being abused on both sides. States calls Pakistan its “strong ally” but the entire world knows that Pakistan is being coerced into taking sides with States. When is this abuse of the innocents going to end and when are the leaders going to stop massacring the innocents?

AND what exactly is U.N. doing about this all? How come they were unable to stop the Iraq war and subsequent crisis in Pakistan?  Does U.N. hold any real power or are they just a lame infrastructure controlled by a certain few?

I believe that U.S. should get out of Pakistan immediately and stop attacking the Pakistani citizens. The Pakistani government must “take care” of these Taliban since they have no right to be inside Pakistan.

U.S. has exhibited in the past several times that it is capable of dividing and conquer. The war between Iraq and Kuwait is a prime example. History has repeated itself again; this time Afghanistan is pitted against Pakistan.   We can’t just blame U.S. alone or Pakistan alone or Taliban alone for the crisis that is enfolding in this world.  We have to look closely into this matter. People got to stand up for each other solely for humanitarian reasons and bad people who like to kill innocents, need to just STOP.

Some people will say that physical force, war, is the only way left. Fine! But at least stay just about everything.  I mean look what happened to the Geneva Convention and what happened at Guantanamo Bay.  Why exactly are the civilians dying in this war? I have started to believe that armed conflict in the century is not the way to peace.   Everything must be done via collaboration and communication. Chaos results when justice fails to prevail, when innocents are harmed and when despite proper communication and collaboration one side forces another to do something against their will.  That’s when chaos happens and that’s when the balance of this world is overturned. Monsters are not born, monsters are created

It is very sad that nowadays politics is not about protecting people, it is about power and control.  A  friend of mine once told me that people choose their leaders. So, I guess, it depends on the people now to make a change and ensure that their voice is being heard on a political arena.

In Peace and Solidarity

  1. Well said that “Monsters are not born, monsters are created”.

Please stop this blame game by now. When the walls of your own home are not strong, then why to blame the shear winds.

When the door of your house are open, why to curse the thief.

When you didn’t prepare your home for winter, why to complain cold!!!!!!!!

  2. Yet another humbug !!!!……i completely agee with Shehzad…..why blame others as we have only ourselves to blame !

  3. Yes indeed, why blame others? we should clean our own mess.
