US doesnt Want Justice Here
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Mar 10th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 2 CommentsThis time America wants to set a new example by not leaving its supported dictator in the cold when the things are not going good, or perhaps America still sees some juice in the General (r) Pervez Musharraf.
Though the White House spokesperson has categorically said that it’s pak-people who have to decide about the fate of the deposed judges and America neither supports this cause nor denies it. So that means that in the special case of Pakistan America doesn’t think a free judiciary a just cause.
The truth of the matter is that Americans are resisting the restoration of the deposed judges. Though the people of Pakistan have given a clear mandate on 18th February in the favour of reinstatement of pre-Nov 3 judiciary, our masters in the Washington don’t really think it appropriate for their front line ally in the war on terror.
America knows that if justice and human rights and democracy prevails in Pakistan, then tough and unanswerable questions would be asked about the missing persons and about the violations of human rights in the areas which are the victims of US’s war on terror.
