Unjustified Ban On Hizb-ut-Tahrir
By Syed Hassam Ahmed • Jul 22nd, 2012 • Category: Politics • 27 CommentsDespite severe torture, hardships and strict ban, Hizb-ut-Tahrir (the Party of Liberation), since its establishment in 1953 in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), continues to work effectively and tirelessly in more than 50 countries with a sole purpose of bringing intellectual and systematic revival among the Muslim Ummah.
The party aims and strives to restore Islamic Khilafah State, unifying all the Muslim under a Caliphate ruled by Islamic law with a Caliph Head of the State, elected by Muslims.
The party has adopted and follows the most peaceful method of Prophet S.A.W to bring about a revolution and actual change in the society as Rasool S.A.W did with constant years of struggle in Makkah.
Hizb-ut-Tahrir firmly believes that Islam could not be restored to its actual by getting involved in Democracy or Terrorism, ruling out the use of bullet and ballot for a real change.
The major allegations on the party includes, showing dissatisfaction on the policies of the government, distributing leaflets against the unacceptable policies all across the country and penetrating in the Pakistan Army.
The answer to these claims lies in the fact that we all know that showing concerns over the government policies is the right of every citizen and one would really wonder how distribution of the pamphlets and leaflets in the general public could ever be termed as terrorism or sectarianism. Similarly, the soldiers of Pakistan Army are also Muslims, they are not aliens or from some other world, so why not carry a good and rational message to them?
After a deep study about the aims and objectives of Hizb-ut-Tahrir, being a student of Journalism, I call upon the members of civil society, media persons, lawyers, judges and sensible persons of the society to take a principle stand in favor of the freedom of expression and right to speak, stand against the unreasonable ban on Hizb ut Tahrir in Pakistan, the global Islamic group which categorically rejects the use of weapons and have been carrying out a peaceful political struggle since its formation.
I appeal the rational-minded media persons, people of law and others, on humanitarian grounds, to force the authorities for an immediate recovery of HT’s spokesman for Pakistan Naveed Butt, compelling the government to provide justification on his abduction. People in Pakistan rigorously demand the authorities to lift a ban from Hizb ut Tahrir.

Interesting fact: HT is not banned in U.S.A
According to Khilafat rules, revolution or any kind of anarchist act against a government cannot be justified. Plus HT doesn’t believe in democracy, So u r just being treated according to their sharia way. And the right to protest, free speech, only exist in a democracy.

that is why it is banned in Pakistan as establishment is used to of spreading Islam by bullet or terroism which is now substitute of jihad in Pakistan.They also need democracy to make happy west and that is why they hire feudal families like bhutto , pagaras, gillanis etc.
So reason is obvious it is banned.Calpihate might be solution of our all problems but for this purpose you need some reasonalble cahracters and those are completley absent in our society.
Could, gillani, kiyani or munawar hassn or Khan shahib or Altaf can be caliph of 18 million Pakistanis.

@ nazia, u nderstand our political drama very well but may be u dont know hizb well, the present amir of party one of the friends of first ameer, i.e a person with the party since its establishment, a person working for islam 50+ years, a scholar,and many other members , who have studied islamic laws deep down, n practice sharia in their lives, are not capable of being caliph?? oviously the party doesn’t wants zerdari etc or even ji to be caliph, their are many who fulfill the criteria , the sunnah way that party follows is to ask ahl e quwat i.e army today( serdar of qabilaz then) for nusrah i.e protection, all army needs to do is protect the khilafat from threats, when army is with islamic state imagine can these democratic parties , do any harm ? or any kufer state dare so? but unfortunately we have more hypocrite army then sincere muslims,.. the other option is people, like what we expect from syria,if people reject democracy n insist to have islamic state,under the banner of sincere party, hizbut tahrir, no media or power wud be able to mislead world about demand or replace pupit like Egypt etc

Don’t lie. Those rulers have to be legitimate caliph not some proxy kings or prime ministers.
Democracy itself bring anarchy and ch@os. As far as revolt against a legitimate caliph in khilafah system is concerned, there is no obedience of ruler that leads to disobedience of Allah. If there’s solid evidence that ruler has acted against the Quran and Sunnah and that he has directed the Ummah to do contrary to the Quran and Sunnah, then people can remove him.

They don’t believe in your version of democracy as practised by your white masters where 51% can take away rights of 49% and laws are made on whims of majority where the elite can cheat with impunity but poor are persecuted on petty crimes.
It’s clear you’ve no clue on shariah. Shariah system offers far better accountability , justice and protection of human rights than your democracy. Facts speak for themselves:

Another brainf@rt! Free speech doesn’t exist in any society. A Harvard law school expelled star student for “h@locaust denial”. Its illegal in a number of European countries. A religious insult is a crime and considered forbidden in countries like Denmark, Spain, Finland, Germany, Greece etc.

That proves democracy is a failing system. Democracy whether in Pakistan or USA or other Western countries is rule of elite. Syria is foreign funded ‘revolution’ or rather subversion. In Egypt, the newly elected party is yet to prove if it’s better than its predecessors.
If Hizbul Tahir does not beleive in Democracy then why it is using its tenents as you say below. The Pakistani Army is a disciplined force and it has to obey orders of its superiors.You cannot use your brand of Sharia to infect disaffection among the Pakistani army.

If Tahair does not beleive in democracy and terrorism, then how it will spread its message?

Whether it is Palestine movements or Burmese killings Muslim ummah weakness is quite prominent in all matters whose rulers are controlled by foreign powers.I don’t think so any system is bad that is based on desires of majority and should aligned with local culture instead of importing it from foreign land. Problems and shortcoming appear when matters come in control of wrong groups whose want to behave like mafia.If modification and cleansing of society is not designed or protected then deterioration of all system starts and Pakistan is one of worst example like that.Pakistani working system promote corruption and secure criminals and those who qualify these are called our rulers.
