UK Respects Pakistanis, Withdraws Musharraf’s Protocol
By Salman Mugsi • May 5th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsIt’s nothing new and has happened always in the history that the world powers use their pawns and then discard them, humiliate them or get them eliminated altogether. Musharraf is lucky enough that he has only been discarded for now, but the way dictator chap is dreaming about returning to power in Pakistan, his fate could be like Zia ul Haq.
The British government has decided to withdraw expensive security contingent containing 3-4 Scotland Yard officers, an armoured car and any protocol to the former president, Pervez Musharraf. The official announcement is likely to be made in coming days, but Musharraf has come to know that and instead of keeping low profile, in his arrogance, he had decided to move out of UK and to settle somewhere in UAE. He intends to pave his way from UAE to return to Pakistan, and he is eyeing the leadership of PML-Q.
Also some elements in establishment have started to knit the PML-Q again and they are trying to bring in Chaudhry brothers, Hamid Nasir Chattha, Sheikh Rashid, Humayun Akhtar, Pir Pagara under the umbrella of Musharraf. Once PML-Q becomes once again Musharraf’s party, MQM and ANP will fall in line automatically. If that happens, then Musharraf will be the man returning to Pakistan.
But even then we all know what Pakistanis would do with him.
