To Trust Or Not To Trust ……

By Mian Usman • Jul 4th, 2010 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 5 Comments

We are a very accommodate Nation. We forgive people who did the worst to us, we forget past of our leaders and give them an other chance to rule in a hope that they might better this time, we (the salaried people) pay our taxes despite the fact that a very little is being done by the government for our welfare, we struggle along side Politicians for restoration of Judiciary but our society still strives to have justice in real time, we trust our friends that they will guide us right but most trust worthy people betray us, we love our dear ones wholeheartedly and often see nothing in return, our relations are based on “how important are we for our co-existence and mutual needs” , we sell truth on media and after getting our payment we forget what we have said on air, we are so mean at times that we wish to remove people from face of earth for our own vested interests. We see our leaders not fulfilling promises and finding funny excuses for not fulfilling the commitment, we see husbands cheating on wives even with love marriages, we see young boys and girls having a sudden crush for each other one day and after some time leaving each other in their terms popularly known us “ditching” and “dumping”, we condemn human rights violations and and hit wives n kids at home, we claim education can change our character enabling us to distinguish right from wrong and we see that highly educated top notch profile people committing crimes ranging from financial frauds, murders, rape etc, we are too fond of condemning any good or bad act for the sake of making a point, we are experts of every thing and we give our opinion and we do not do justice to our job, we claim that there is no independence to work as a professional in private jobs where as when ever any free hand is given to any one to run an organization, a new record of corruption is made. We blame government to not giving any relief to industrial sector and we shift the profits out side Pakistan and not re-invest any thing in business and often do not return the industrial loans, we hate our leaders cause of their corrupt acts but leave no chance un-availed when it comes to looting by bribing.  We generalize the scenario and say “Every body else is doing the same why can not we” despite the fact every individual is answerable to own acts whether good or bad so an effort to correct our self on individual level first and system will work properly automatically. We are spending millions of Dollars to monitor corruption and still rated very high amongst the list of most corrupt nations (although I do not agree to such statements as the countries where these studies and opinion polls are conducted are most corrupt nations and top of the Line is USA which is interfering in every country for her own mean agenda).

It is being observed that newly wed and even married for years are pursuing divorces. Most of the cases are genuine in which husbands are at fault and are not loyal and wives come to know and part their ways. In the past it was easy for husbands to fool around but now due to technological advancement mobiles, cameras Internet etc, more trend of female higher education has allowed women to reject a husband who is not worth spending their lives with cause good education and hard work can get them good jobs to survive on their own and even look after kids well. Educated women can not be threatened to accept the life of misery as she can always fight back but more than 70% of women are under undue pressure to survive in the toughest of circumstances cause society treats divorce as a curse and it often happens parents deliberately let their daughters live with a never ending story of suffering. The other major reason is family politics and gossips that initiate a series of mistrust and doubt, most trusty relations even relatives start misguiding both husband and wife to such an extent that they simply cant stand each other. it often happens in a scenario when one family wanted to tie the knot of marriage of son or daughter to a particular family member but that member gets married else where in side or out side the family and the rejected family takes vengeance by ensuring that marriage does not last at all. Secondly people out of mere jealousy can not see families of relatives happy n prosperous resulting in a total disastrous ending of marriages and people in fact use super natural means like magic to destroy the ones who are better off than them in all respects.

The victims are always the people who are having a sincere nature and do not doubt negative intentions of people around them. The best solution to a conflict in a marital relation is to allow husband and wife to settle it between them and not to discuss their issues with third parties as at times they do not get proper guide lines from their own parents. They should learn to trust each other and trust is developed when nothing is hidden and their acts show that they do care for each other. Both husband and wife should realize that after separation, the biggest victims are kids and the people leave you on your own to face harsh realities of life and people rather enjoy to see you suffering.

We see negative approach to life from all of us, we can not stand competition, truth, check on our actions, betterment of people around us, healthy relations of people we know and the list goes on. If we suffer we want others to suffer as well, if had seen tough times in life, we want others to get in to troubled sea, especially the mother in laws who want the best for their own daughters and want exactly opposite for their son’s wife or who have not seen good times in their own in-laws they try to inflict the fate on their daughter in laws. Husband at times being not aware of the scenario at home cause of the rat race of making money, often trust parents and give further tough times to the wife. Life is a mixture of good n bad times, if we remember and help the needy in our good times, God helps us out of the way in our bad times. Every new day is a challenge offered to us by the nature to test our credibility, nerves, strength and character and we being watched by the Almighty for every single second. We worry too much about high court, Supreme court, Income Tax division, NAB and other checks and often get success in saving our skins but we are here in this world to appear in a test and final score will be revealed on the Day of Judgement where I will not be saved if done a crime no matter I was cousin of President. Zardari or even was President Zardari, or a close buddy of Mr. Shahbaz Sharif or was even his brother Nawaz Sharif myself, or remained ruler of Pakistan by the name of General Musharaf or Zia ……….thats a final reality which we totally ignore.

We trust a few people and betray a few people and similarly we are treated accordingly we make hue n cry on what people did to us and forget what we had been doing. No law, no system, no form of government can work if we can not correct our acts, each individual has to work on a system of life where the guiding principle is Truth and Honesty. I wish and live to see a day when People would cherish being related to Pakistan and Pakistanis in any form whether its business or friendship. If China can change the fate of their Nation from a Nation of drug addicts to the most prospering nation of the world, any thing can happen if there is a strong will to change starting correction from ourselves and or homes.

Improvement will not take place if we keep on ignoring and tolerating people who are trying to make our life miserable whether its our close ones, politicians, military rulers, our life partners or even our friends, every body should be made to realize that we know exactly what they are doing and if they will not correct themselves they will have to suffer as well as tolerance should mean that we will not say a word if we or families existence will be at stake.

Click For More Articles By Mian Usman Writing poetry and articles is one my favorite passtimes. I write truth openly in a straight forward manner and dont believe in an indirect hinting towards the truth. Am an ordinary man with an extra ordinary wish to see peace, harmony, justice and equality for common man before I die. For that I have decided to write my inner thoughts on the day to day sufferings around us. Silence can not solve any problem it rather increases it. My struggle will end with me. Am grateful TPS to provide me an opportunity to join a group of very talented writers from whome am learning a lot. Am not a man of letters so you would find my expression not as good as my seasoned and experienced partners who regularly write, my focus is primarily on the message in my articles and TPS is helping me to convey it to a lot of people.

  1. I would recommend some organizational and grammatical editing for this writing but the gist of your article is very relevant and prevalent in the minds of many Pakistanis, such as myself. Though I didn’t realize to what degree personal relationships were messed up in Pakistan, I agree that change has to start each peron on an individual level. I hope that as you wrote such a passionate piece of work, you embody the Pakistani who people will and prehaps already are proud of.

  2. We are a bunch of stray idiots and not a nation, so useless are these articles.

  3. Thank you for letting us know we are just bunch of fools. If the husband cheats his wife even after love marriage, what is government doing?” Good Question, Next! People are reaching late in offices due transport problem, what is government doing? We, the salaried class are paying taxes what is government doing?

Crying games continue - only cry in wilderness would not solve the problem. The problem is we do not have funds (money doesn’t grow on tree), we do not have industries that create money flow and purchasing power among common men, we do not have electric power. We are parasite and living on the supply line of USA, USAID, IMF, World Bank et al (Urdu quote) Khai Ja Mazay ke Saath Jub Talak Udhar Day (no worries as long as loans and aid are flowing in). Our civil life is just the same as that on Nigeria. All the notable industrialists have migerated to West alongwith their capitals. Terrorism has made this country such a burning land that no industrialist, foreign or local, would dare to invest. These are the real problems that we should address first - rest would follow suite.

  4. ‘…if we remember and help the needy in our good times, God helps us out of the way in our bad times.’

Of course, we ought to asire to attain that level of sacrifice/ indoctrination and all religions agree on it.

God bless you, sir, for reminding us the secret of life.

    A very good article.

  5. Please amend to read ‘aspire’ for ‘asire’.
