Time to Dissolve all Madaris
By Salman Mugsi • Jul 15th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 7 CommentsThe Punjab government on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court that it wants to withdraw petition challenging Jammat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed’s release, and the nation stands confused and shocked. Turning a blind eye on JuD leader isn’t going to ensure that no more suicide attacks will happen in the Punjab. One of the reason being that Hafiz Saeed has no control or say over them. Baitullah Mehsud doesn’ t listen to him or his likes, and for that matter the real perpetrators doesn’t hear Baitullah either. Baitullah just gets orders.
Mian Chunoon blast in a madarissah proved the fact that its already to late that madaris should be checked and nationalize by the government. Taliban are emerging in southern Punjab as thousands of madressahs are their breeding places and now mere accidently a massive explosion took place in a remote an innocuous looking area. Master Riaz who ran that madarissah is a long time suspicious man and he was reported to the authorities by the neighbors on many occassions. The suspected criminal was twice arrested and released — why?
The madaris are not delivering any service to the nation. There are very few model madaris. One education system should be introduced throughout country. There should be no Urdu medium, English medium, private, federal or madaris in the country. We need to get serious, very serious about our education as that is how terrorism is spreading in the name of education. The meaning of Taliban is students. These so-called Taliban who are in actual terrorists have already given lots of bad name to education, students and Islam.
World should help Pakistan in this regard. Revamping of education system is the need of hour. United States must stop The pursuit of power is no longer a zero-sum game - progress must be shared.

You are right that we should improve/spread our education system/rate. Then we have automatically resolve that problem. Hate towards Madrisas is not solution/required.
I agree, education is the key.
Massive educational reforms and revamping of our educational system is the only long term solution to most of the ills of the society.
Alongwith that, a judicial system of reasonable high standard, an effective and people friendly law enforcement system may help in bringing relief to the masses.
Good governance, merit oriented selection system across the board and state controlled utility provision system will help improve the situation faster.

Not probably, surely, and it is the mother of all ills in our society.
We should teach the real history of pakistan to the students. We should tell Pakistan surrendered to India in 1971 ans should explain why and how that won’t happen again.
In that way our students will come to know the realities and our strength. Week will hate others. Once we come to know about our strength then we will not hate anyone.
