Time to Change Driver

An adept driver navigate the vehicle superbly on a bad road in bad weather, but an incompetent driver cannot drive a new vehicle, on a new road under bright light.
Zardari regime is desperate to legitimize the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), which is the most infamous ordinance of Pakistan’s history. It’s an open license for corruption while providing a cover to former corruption. It’s an open invitation to the future aspirants of corrupt corridors.
President Zardari and his acolytes know that only if they can gain the support of the PML-N and its chief regarding NRO, their would be no problem for them and even it will damage the PML-N to a great deal. That is why they are pushing hard to get the cooperation of Nawaz Sharif. In the NRO deal with PML-N, President Asif Ali Zardari may agree to scrap Article 58-2(b), amend Article 243(3) and incorporate the Charter of Democracy (CoD) in the proposed 18th Amendment, and in return he would just ask PML-N to remain dormant over NRO.
In a polity administered under a written constitution, all pillars of the state exercise only such authority as is delegated to them by the Constitution. NRO is the permanent black spot on the forehead of this battered constitution, and it’s the prime responsibility of this parliament to remove this spot at every cost.
