We should stop looking for the so-called “strategic depth” and Pakistan can focus more upon how can a peaceful Afghanistan develop better cooperative trade and the relationships between the two countries can foster.

The operation in the tribal areas has certainly curtailed the capability of Taliban to launch furious attacks on Pakistani soil; it is now more important to undo the brain washing done by militants and rehabilitate them in the mainstream society.

Sir,
We in India also miss our long lasting friend Iran. The present government due to their love for USA have betrayed Iran for an an imaginary nuke deal. Now that US is showing its true colours about India and nuke deal, i only hope we shift to our real friend Iran.

@Sir Khalid Iqbal,

Kudos to the Pak military on achieving success in various theatres of conflicts with the Taliban.

Could you please be sincere and yet deny the nexus that remains between the Pakistani Army establishment and the extremist elements that are today attacking Pakistan?

And what about the generation of Pakistanis who were taught in school, as kids, that India is an idolator-country, and will one day be destroyed? Where will those hapless, brainwashed kids go, if they do not have an Afghanistan or a Kashmir to show their anger?

Are you really hopeful that extremism will soon die in Pakistan?

Faithfully yours,
~A humble Indian
