The Infamous Case of the Catch 22—
By skeeee • Feb 1st, 2010 • Category: Politics • 5 CommentsWhen you think unconsciously, you create by default.
When you think consciously, you create by design.
Most political commentators are great. They are great at doing what their prescribed designation says: Commentating. What does commentating entail? In most cases it’s a description of all the malfunctions of the socio-political machinery of a people. It’s the writers’ take of the issues. What is wrong or what went wrong according to Mr. authority—the sincere author.
The proposed solutions to our incessant problems are ever more problems and this is the infamous cast of the catch 22!
These “authorities” invest their time and resources in figuring out the wrong things… They spend hours, days and sometimes years and eons contemplating what went wrong when they could devote the same amount of time and resources on contemplating how to set it right!
Description of a glass-half-empty has volumes to speak about the negative mind-set and perspective of the observer. Glass half full, on the other hand shows an eagerness for life and positivity in the attitude. And to tackle most, if not all, of the aliments that is ALL that we require…
Think, breath, live positive!

That’s some food for thought. Changes in Pakistan are long overdue and we need to speed up the process. Skee, what you wrote definitely hits the mark for me, we need to rise above and defeat our worst fears. Fears of being stuck in an unremediable situation. Write some more and spread the light of knowledge and hope.
Without disagreeing with you, it is the negative critique that generates the positive thinking. The problem is not with the analysis, it exists in the inability of our power holder’s to grasp the purpose behind it.
To support my point just ask yourself one question and you will understand this principle of critique sciences;
Do you believe that by highlighting just the positives ( though very few if any ) of the current Zardari regime, the corruption will start to decrease ?
If you ask me, I think it will rise to the sky.
To have a positive thinking one requires a positive environment which seems absent these days and by adopting it anyways, you will be creating an illusion that will drown the nation as a whole.
@ Huma …I am glad that you enjoyed my post. I thank you for the input … its most valuable for me!
@ Mobashar …I am glad that you read my post and I truly appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback…
You are right in the sense that critical thinking is what gives one the ability of analysis. Analysis is a key component of problem solving and decision making. I don’t propose that we start artificial positive thinking and live in an illusion, not at all.
What i contend is that if one has the ability to critique, if one has the rational critical faculties are developement enought to identify issues and problems then one should use the same critical thinking and ability positively to generate solutions for these problems. So I am saying we have ALOT of problem identify-ers out there but not that many solution proposers out there.
There ought to be a law or an unsaid code of conduct .. that you should be able to identify a problem only if you have a solution. Don’t just say whats wrong all the time…. also think about what could set it right…. and thts what i mean by thinking in positively…
cheers
@skee
True, solution or a suggestion needs to be part of an analysis.
If you look back at the American history it had the same scenario and gradually all these organizations became opinion makers and implementors as well.
So I believe we are on the right track and in due course of time will get there and that would take care of the solutions positive part as well.
