The Bilderberg Affair: World’s power elite meet in secrecy!

By Faraz Beg • Jun 13th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments

Since 1954, about 100 of the most influential people in Europe and North America meet over a weekend, in secrecy. They include, current and prospective political office bearers, billionaires, royalties, notable statesman, just about anyone in the who’s who of these two power regions. That select group is called, the Bilderberg group.

With such high profile attendees, one should expect to be inundated with media coverage, we have the World Economic Forum at Davos for example, or Sharm-el-Sheikh more recently. But with Bilderberg, there’s not a single mention in the mainstream media, not even in passing, even though the attendees include notable newsmen. This lack of coverage has nurtured huge conspiracy theories about the agenda and the impact of these meetings. Given that Messrs Bill Clinton and Tony Blair attended these meetings exactly a year before they got elected as the chief executives of their countries, the conspiracy claims don’t sound all that baseless.

This year’s meeting was held over the last weekend in Virginia USA. Take a look at some of the attendees and see if it doesn’t ring a bell. It includes people from NSA, Federal Reserve Bank, influential and controversial media groups, Ministers, OIL company heads, Lobbyists. The list is as vast and as influential as one might expect. And this is not necessarily the complete list.

For me, one name is enough to ring huge alarms, Flemming Rose, editor of the Danish Paper, Jyllands Posten, the same paper that published the blasphemous cartoons of RasooluLLAH (s.a.w). It gives me enough reason to believe something’s definitely cooking up and about to happen again. Following is a subset of the list of attendees that I thought worth noting.
