Pakistan is suffering from electricity shortage but why Dam construction project still on paper?it is really more important to complete Dam construction Project other than more on going projects. At the stage we are standing today as a nation, its time to do something to get out of us from such a miserable condition.

You may call it the irony of fate but so far every ruler who sat on the seat whether emerged from Democracy or by Dictatorship belongs to the Meer Jafar/Meer Sadiq Group of political filth. None of us wants atmospheric pollution. Majority of Pakistanis are in favor of Kala Bagh Dam. But Nang E Millat Nang E Deen Nang E Watan group is being auctioned at such a high price that these devils have sold out Pakistan even, but can't be convinced to build Kala Bagh Dam. May Allah destroy this group altogether.

Dams are beneficial and much-needed in Pakistan but implying they have no negative effect on environment is very misleading. Also, coal still is the major source of electricity generation in the world and China itself produces around 70% of its electricity through coal powered plants.

I personally know Mr. Akram Niazi. He has been expressing and strongly advocating Kala Bagh Dam on some other site, for disciplinary reason I cannot tell the site name. Technically there is nothing wrong with Kalabagh Dam. Only the dirty record of Punjab makes it non-feasible. If the Musharraf government could not forcibly impose construction of this dam, how can a democratic government do the same? There are three resolutions passed in three smaller provinces against this dam. Punjab took all the power generated by Warsak and Mangla dam and did not pay the royalty to KhyberPakhtoonkhwah to the tune of 7 billion of rupees. Punjab breached the contract and illegally drew canals to thieve water of Sind. To be precise, the lack of trust between the provinces has jeopardised this project.

About Thar Coal project, India and China are making use of power generated by coal. Coal produces as much CO2 during conbustion as diesel and furnace oil, so what is the hitch? The only problem is that Punjab hates to think that she would have to look towards Sind for meeting energy need, more so when 18th Amendment has empowered provinces more than before. The only remedy for Punjab is to revisit the old days when with the courtesy of ISI winning the election and forming tout governments in smaller proviinces and curbing the protests by use of force was in vogue in those days. Those golden days!!
