The expectations from the new government are very high.Granted we are in a crisis right now but we must realise that this new government cannot put everything right with the swish of a magic wand and it will take time. The question is will Gilani be a puppet in the hands of Zardari and what will our strategy in the FATA areas be as regards to withdrawing our troops.

The new establishment has to work very hard to get the country back on some kind of track. People are hopeful and yes expectations are high. May God give them the required courage and keep them on the right track.

Mr. Yousuf Raza Gillani ordered release of the deposed judges without any legal authority. Until an oath of office was administered he was citizen Gillani not Prime Minister Gillani. I wonder if it's just a benign mistake on the part of his handlers or it reflects the mode of operation we will be witnessing in future, too. Bit too POPULIST !

No doubt in its true spirit there is no substitute
for democracy meaning rule of the people, for the
people and by the people. As the result of evolution
of civilized society, monarchy is disappearing around
the world and dictatorship is roundly detested.
Unfortunately culturally and temperamentally
Pakistanis are not attuned to western democracy; the
electorates being largely illiterate are led up the
garden path like a flock of sheep by shrewd and
selfish politicians.

In regard to recent events which have been flaunted across the media in the west, they are giving off a skewed version of Musharraf's actions. Let us not forget that Pakistan has always been in troubled waters by the likes of Benazir and Nawaz (to mention a few) who have led us to the pits of moral and financial bankruptcy - was it not Musharraf who saved us?

Let us go back to the time when all we had was PTV and a few measly channels and were heavily dependent on satellite to provide news and entertainment . Was it not Musharraf then who promoted and facilitated the media boom in Pakistan . Instead of much needed support and patriotism these very channels have shyed away from their duties to project a fair and true image of current affairs but have instead sided with the lawyers and self-stlyed human rights activists.

RE-THINK about bringing an era of democracy under yet another unquestionably corrupt politician as undoubtedly Pakistan is better off under this man, who atleast has integrityand definate sincerity in his cause for a progressive nation. Those who are champions of human rights, freedom and liberty have their stomachs full, while the masses just want daily bread.

DO NOT BECOME THE VICTIMS OF MYOPIA AND ASSESS THE OPTIONS AROUND YOU . Do you see the fundamentalists or the selfish politicians ushering in democracy in the true sense of the word?

THIS IS SIMPLY AN APPEAL TO ALL PAKISTANIS TO LOOK FORWARD AND VEST HOPE IN THE ONE MAN WHO HAS MADE POSITIVE CHANGES AND HAS THE ABILITY TO CONTINUE WITH OUR SUPPORT.
