Black Day …Indeed !

By fzuberi • Nov 7th, 2009 • Category: Features

In a session this Tuesday, the Punjab Assembly described Nov 3, 2007 as a ‘black day’ in the history of Pakistan.
Amazing isn’t it, that Nov, 3rd 2007 is a black day…but Oct 12 of ‘99 is …well not a colored day at all. Just a normal first time suspension by some nobody day. We don’t [...]

By Rohail Butt • Sep 15th, 2009 • Category: Politics

I am really ill at ease blogging about issues like war on terror, power shortage, sugar and flour crisis and the corruption of the current rulers. Hoarders and profiteers, almost all of them Muslims, have once again created a fake shortage of sugar from the market just before the start of month of fasting: Ramadan. Though Ramadan is still ten days away, and the T.V is blaring away the celebrations of 14th August, the people of Pakistan don’t have power, gas, [...]

CNG Crisis in Punjab / NWFP Gets Worse

By Ghazala Khan • Feb 1st, 2008 • Category: Politics

First the blood of Pakistanis went dry when they started living with the constant fear of suicide bombers and bomb blasts, then they started living permanently in fasting-mode, as the food items like flour and sugar became scarce and beyond the reach of their pockets. Then they started living in darkness as their long ago [...]
