Pakistan for the last eleven years or so is in decline mode. There are many factors responsible for this anarchy and restive condition. The military dictatorship, lack of leadership, vision-less government, corruption, war on terror, economic meltdown, load-shedding, political uncertainty, shady deals like NRO, and incompetent governance are just few to name.

These petty, so-called and puppet democratic elected governments come and go. They are just buffer zone for the real players to distract the people and to realign thier objectives while embarrassing each other. Pakistan’s establishment and the Washington has always known that they are the real brokers, and rest is just a farce and eyewash.

Suppose The Establishment and Zardari were to team up, how would the script have rolled?

Zardari would have wanted to become PM.
For that he would need to have all his murder, corruption, money laundering charges dropped.
Requirement for BA would be dropped (though according to some sources Zardari is a graduate)
By elections would be delayed.
