By Rai Azlan • Aug 29th, 2010 • Category: Misc

Olpers is a brand that has made its place since 2005. I still remember that sound of milk being poured in a pot to make “doodh pati”. I am not a tea person at all but still that ad had created a buzz on me that I can recall. The reason for writing this post [...]

Facebook and Pakistan

By Usama Khilji • May 25th, 2010 • Category: Features

The Facebook event of blasphemy indeed came as an offensive shock not only to Muslims around the world; but to all those who believe in tolerance and respect of others’ beliefs. US foreign office  also condemns this provocation.
After seeing the large protest [...]

By Fatima Saleem • May 22nd, 2010 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look

PTA has blocked youtube & Wikipedia as well after Facebook and Foreign office has recorded protest over blasphemy offense at international level. I personally agree with the facebook ban & protests all over Pakistan against the blasphemous day”, however, I think blocking Blackberry & now youtube is a bit extreme.
Nonetheless, International media must play their [...]

Positive effect of deleting facebook account

By Mohammad Yusha • May 21st, 2010 • Category: Politics

When the cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) were drawn in a Danish newspaper, protests against it had no effect. However, the moment Muslims started boycotting their products, their so called freedom of speech took a toll. Out of the blue the Danish government started condemning the cartoons. Boycotting clearly has an effect.
They are the same [...]
