Suiting of Pakistani Women
By The Pakistani Spectator • Jun 20th, 2007 • Category: Uncategorized • One ResponseIn today’s newspaper it was written that the Saudi Government has objected the suiting of Pakistani Woman during Hajj and made it compulsory that she shall have to put on suit recommended by them.
In an TV program on AAG Channel a girl asked the host of the show that you should also wear “Shalwar Kameez”. That will look good on you. The host promised that for you once I shall wear it for you.
Both the above situations are embarrassing. We in Pakistan do not bother what fashion is going on especially as far as dressing of ladies is concerned. I am not trying to say that our ladies should be bound at home or should wear a tarpaulin while going out side. But the suiting should be done in such a way that outsiders should not given a chance to object on that. We should keep in mind that we also belong to Muslim community.
We are like in rest fields of life trying to follow the Western culture of clothing, as we witness shoppers in the market of big cities. We should try to follow also the good practices of the West. God make us at the right way.
