Stop Blaming Police , Judiciary and WAPDA Plz!
By zawiyal • Jun 28th, 2008 • Category: Politics • No ResponsesPolice, Judiciary and WAPDA are sole centers of all the corruptions in Pakistan. A gentleman was giving the International Transparency report to media. A bare truth was being covered by statistics. Why do we always put blame on only these three for our collective sin? Why don’t we accept that these are just tools in the hands of the capitalistic elements of our society… a society whose members we all are? Why does a policeman stand in front of a mill owner, landlord and political mafia? His job is at the risk of a just one telephone call. He is MADE to register FIR against innocent people. He hardly does it deliberately.. To avoid fury of “ oonchey loog “ he does compromise. Who from us go and stop the order of his transfer that is nothing but the result of his disobedience to MNA/MPA? Is he allowed to stop a vehicle with green number plate???? Can his children study in a well-reputed school??? When his job is always at stake then why he is not allowed to make maximum before his forced retirement???
In Pakistan it is just a joke to say that a farmer can win against a landlord. Again the fault is not of judiciary. It is just the matter of approach. It is the matter of influence. Magistrate is also an employee of government and government is of those landlords. Is it difficult to understand now that where the problem lies? Why do we expect from a magistrate to give sacrifice? Why those elements are not being snubbed that are sole responsible for his current spoiled state?
WAPDA is corrupt . Ok fine but who is not allowing to build dams in Pakistan??? Who are using “water “ for their political gains??? A line man ???? A meter reader ??? Certainly not!!!…If you let government to build dams and make it sure that our small industries do not suffer anymore because of this load shedding then why these “line men” will be offered “nazraney” ????
Do we owe the courage to unveil the real elements behind all this corruption? Do we as individuals, society and as a nation ready to accept our shortcomings and get to those who play their part and abuse institutions and its servants for their own goals, gains, pride and greed. So much for the concept of International Transparency report and our institutions. By blaming institutions and those people caught up in their race can never bring this country back to its feet unless we start questioning these people which are always presented as “background” forces. It is these faces and their practices that are required to be analyzed, brought out in the open.
