Star Cricketer Shahid Afridi to Visit Riyadh on the 21st Instant

A welcome reception for Shahid Afridi – a star Pakistani cricketer – is being arranged by the Royal Academy of Cricket aka: RAC in Riyadh on 21st January. This was announced by the officials of RAC in a press conference held in Riyadh. During the press conference the RAC board also announced hosting of Saudi Star Talent Hunt Program by Saudi Cricket Center aka: SCC. The program objectives were highlighted as targeting the exclusively gifted young players from various parts of the Kingdom. In Riyadh this program shall be hosted and managed by RAC.

RAC also announced that for the purpose of moral boosting of the young cricketers, the Pakistani star cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi is also invited to the same event. He is expected to arrive in Riyadh on the 21st of January where a lavish dinner reception has been arranged in his honor.

It was mentioned that the sole purpose of inviting a star cricketer like Shahid Afridi, in this talent hunt program was to instill the importance of this event and to motivate and encourage young players to follow the foot-print of a great cricketer like him. Moreover, his visit here would allow an opportunity to the young players and other members of the community to come in close interactions with the world famous icon. In this connection it was also mentioned that the star cricketer Shahid Afridi has envisaged a plan to build a small hospital at his birth place of Jerma – a small village on Peshawar-Kohat Road in the Khyber Agency. This hospital shall be dedicated in the name of his father.

Finally, it was announced that entry to the dinner reception in the honor of the star cricketer Shahid Afridi was via passes only which can be obtained from the following point-men at their given contact numbers: Salman: 053-230-5691; Faisal: 0507-202-389;

The press conference concluded on a very high and spirited note and a sumptuous dinner.
