Naveed is an icon of pride for our nation who despite of all odds strived hard for his dreams. It is sad to see that not a single seat could be spared for him in ceremony which was to honor their achievements. We must invest in our education system so that people from the lower strata of society can have fair chances of opportunities and not fall prey to extremist ideas.

Extremism is the common enemy, with zealots such a Taliban and RRS on the other side of the border who vow to engage us in the vicious cycle of hate and poverty. Unfortunately the confidence building measures have been superficial, a wider program is needed were students and professional can interact in a cross cultural program so that the stereotypes are broken and common grounds for cooperation is identified.
