some leaders. . . we will always cry for. . .

This is true every politician comes with his own agenda and his own interests, but on the course they do offer the nation something, which sometimes revolutionize the fate of the country. This is a fact that Islam forbids dictatorship but there is no place in Islam for so-called democracy as well. Islam preaches khilafat. Whereby some great persons both religiously and socially, who are knowledgeable and have proven great character, are authorized to select a person and then the general masses will have to opt whether they like to go with that person or not.

Islam clearly says that an ignorant is not equal to knowledgeable person. This is the clear and straightforward teaching of our great religion. The very teaching of Islam start with the knowledge. There is no single evidence in Islam where the opinion of an illiterate person is equalized to that of a great scholar. We put Islam in our own mould. It is we who created democracy, which might be a good thing in itself, but is not a purely Islamic process. It is very understandable and every one will agree that those who know have better opinions than those who do not know. In democracy there is no such thing. The opinion of a junky, drunken and a great scholar weighs the same. A scholar and a junky will have equal rights to opt for a person. No one will disagree with this idea, as every one knows that those who learn more, knows more and have better opinions.

Now if the so-called democracy is not a recommended system ideally then what is bad there in dictatorship? Yes I agree that dictator is a single person who comes with his own will and power and intends to rule the people against their will. If a single person comes with this mentality then he must be resisted. He must be pushed. But problem is that we have already being ruled by people against our own will. The so-called democratic leaders are dictators in disguise. They do only what they want and do not care for the opinions of the people. And after all those who cry for these leaders, who raise slogans long live Mr. A and long live Mr. B, are those who either do not know what they are doing or they just try to deceive themselves for the sake of pity interests. This is a fact that every one who has political affiliation has some interests, we have to accept that.

Now if our people are so simple, they sell their consciences for few penny then why should we respect and value their opinions? If a person does not even know, what is right and what is wrong, then why should we ask for his opinion? . Why should we value his thoughts? Why should we ask for his decisions? Many of us who strive to select our so-called leader do not know what is progress and what is backwardness. They do not know what the country situation is and what it requires. They do not know how a nation thrives, how a county progress. They do not know believe me . . . They just need food, clothes and shelter. But in the struggle, they forget what is the wrong way and what is the right path to achieve all these, and at the end they get what they do not expect. No matter how long we discuss, how long we emphasis, the common point will always be that people have to be educated. They should be empowered with knowledge. Without knowledge we cannot take decisions, the right decisions. We cannot differentiate between the good and the bad. We cannot choose the right paths to fulfill our needs. Simply we cannot do it, because we do not know.

The basic teaching of Islam is that, Seek knowledge. In Islam priority of a man over another is just because of knowledge. There is no value of caste, race and color. There is only a single criterion and this is knowledge. The need is, was and will always be to educate this nation. The only magical solution to all problems is, education. If our democratic leaders do not do what the country needs. Then why should we select them? Why not an army dictator? Yes we should respect those who care for the people of the country, who care for the future of the country and who care for the progress of the nation at large.

General Musharraf’s priority had always been education. The person whose top most priority was education, indicates, that he wanted to solve all the problems . . . but we went against him, why? Again we were deceived. We have to accept that we have been dictated since sixty-two years in one form or another. I do not favour dictatorship. But a dictator, who is good and does the right things, is far better than the one who does not care for the nation. We should not bother who is ruling us, rather, we must think how one is ruling us. This should be the attitude if we want this country to progress.

Everyone who has an intellect will agree that knowledge is power and Musharraf left no stone unturned to adorn the nation with this power.

But we did not understand it. .

We were deceived by some people . . . by our leaders . . . by our democratic dictators . . .

as it has always been

and it will always be. . .

  2. johann,

You would not disagree that we need leaders to help solve our problems and who possess the capability to take decisions in the larger interest of the people and the country. We cannot deny that every man lives his life for his own interest and for that he does all according to his capacity. Every politician comes with his own interests . . . to make money. Yes, to make money and get the power to fulfill his desires does not caring for the good and bad. This is the global scenario of politics.

Democracy is a game. Politics is the rule of this game and the basic principle of politics is to TELL ALWAYS THE LIE. Now tell me do u believe liars in your own life . . . do you ever trust them . . .? If for your little interests you are not ready to trust a liar then why should we trust them for the fate of millions of people?

All I mean to say is that we need honest and committed persons to lead us. . does not matter they come through democracy or they are some army dictators.

But I do believe that an honest dictator is far better than a corrupt politician who is selected under the blind process of democracy.
