Some Facts and Profile of Mehmud Ali Durrani
By Muskan Hina • Jan 7th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 5 CommentsMajor General (r) Mehmud Ali Durrani has remained one of the very effective background force in Pakistan since 1988, after the death of the then dictator General (r) Ziaul Haq in a plane crash. Zialul Haq went to Bahawalpur upon the very intense request and repetitive insistence of the then commander of corps Mehmud Ali Durrani, and his plane crashed.
The son of Zialul Haq, Ijaz ul Haq demanded that Mehmud Ali Durrani was involved in the plane assassination of his father and demanded that he must be included in the investigation, but then due to the Benazir government that matter went to cold storage.
After retirement from the army, Mehmud Ali Durrani became a very close friend of Bhutto family and he was considered among the very close coterie of Asif Ali Zardari. Durrani went to America and remained associated with American think tanks for a long time. Then Musharraf appointed Durrani as the ambassador of Pakistan to America by the will of Benazir Bhutto and Zardari.
When the government was formed by PPP in the center, Durrani was appointed as the national security advisor to the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani by the president Asif Ali Zardari and the PM never liked it. Durrani acted at its own and is widely believed as the US representative in the Pakistani government.
Now Durrani has embarrased the whole of Pakistan and though has been dismissed by the PM, but he has already earned his keep and has put the Pakistan in hot waters. He says that Ajmal Kasab was Pakistani and now PM Gilani says that he doesn’t know about it and has dismissed Durrani.
India has already asked Pakistan to admit that other 9 people were also Paksitani and to hand their perpetrators to the India.
Now Durrani says that he did that upon the order of Zardari.

I will add some more facts about him
he was chairman of Pakistan ordinance factory for six years.During his tenure he misused all his powers by appointing his relatives and friends in major military or semi military organizations.He even appointed his two sons and son in law in jews /US firms in singapur and dubai by using his internal links with americans.
He is trained Pakistani in US for implementing US and military policies in our south asian region .
He is key player of war in terror and its escalation in our region. still not clear that he either helped musharf for his double games with US or worked as watch dog of US for military aide to Pakistan govt.
Gen alvi was also fired by musharf on the advice of gen durrani too as his drunken statement in US hotel had created lot of tremors in US and our military circles too.

By the way, after getting un-employed here in Pakistan, do you think he will be given any job by Obama’s administration for his remarkable services to the US?

General Zia who killed palestenians (black septemeber) and killed Russians in Afghanistan for Americans. Why should he be killed by Americans?The only people who gain is russians in Zia’s killing..So durrani must be working for russians as per your thesis.
You nation is unable to FACE TRUTH JUST LIKE YOU. Covert operations involving killing civilians was OK till 9/11.Your nation was doing it for USA.

The truth has come out. Its a historic day. Durrani has exposed Gilani’s association with LeT and Al Qaida. Next few days would be interesting as there is likely to be a power struggle between Zardari and Gilani. I think Gen. Kiyani is on his way for another coup. God help Pakistan ( but it won’t as Pakistan is headed by corrupt liars)
