I am ashamed to death to read all this regarding MQM having problem with IDPs to settle in Sindh. First of all being Pakistani, every citizen has every right to settle where ever he/she wants to settle. No one can take this right from anyone. Secondly in this hour of need, if we are not going to help our brothers who fought for this country and stood up for the soverinity of the country in the 60 years of its existance, then i really don’t understand the meaning of the federation. I think this is so disrespectful and shameless act.

Im an Individual Sindhi Since 7000 years ago but now you told me that im pakistani since 1947. Sindh is our mother land why you people r going to minuplet our scio ecnomic n political senerio??? we dont want to distrob pathans but pathans , punjabies and others dont hav right to occupoied our land they hav own land and they should go to save there land ……………. belive me Sindhi people will fight with IDPs very soon n you people will see that becoz that is our mother land and we know how can we face IDPs which are coming and which r living here……. but dear please dont ask to urdu speakings as a Mahajir!!! they r now Sindhi urdu speakings they r our brothers and Sindh is also Mother of them…………. we hav good colloboration with them n we r going to mergerization for new modern sindhi nation!

I think you are not well aware of real swat culture which was very peaceful and calm before the start of Afghan war.Its good you give the example of kashmiri pandit who are genetically traders.So as an army officer you know very well that all citizen can not not be good soldiers therefore special procedure is adopted to select them for creating a strong defense line against enemies.The class you mentioned as traders and the IDPs mostly are farmers and on very less paid business are always among the first to flee the disturbed areas.Same is happened in Palestine, Beirut Iraq, Afghani war and in Pakistan too as business men community never ever favor any freedom fighters or anti state like movement that create hurdle in their deals .
So as far as swat is concerned we didnt see any kind of displacement for last 2 years from outside of swat and people were changing their positions within swat where fierce fighting started between two groups.Within this period locals tried to help army through different ways but in reaction locals were killed on public places by these savages in daylight and put their dead bodies for display to general public.Killing of law enforcing people, destruction of schools on weekly basis were on record in the presence of army around them .Even then in last elections this valley completely showed solidarity with ANP and discarded these talibans as their representatives.So what more one can except from these poor men to support liberal forces.As they are not warrior like our fata and wazirstan belt so it was job of our govt and military establishment to train and guide them as our front defense shield in this two year operation.They were in need of proper arms and training and back up of our army to stand against these aggressive and trained savages.So when they found no backup and stage come when they were being hit by our saviors they had no choice left except to leave the areas.

For once i tend to agree with Dr.Raza haider in this IDPs issue. We have in India similar problem of Kashmiri Pandits who always colloborated with British and was disliked by Sheikh Abdullahas freedom fighters who are mostly Muslims.During the Taliban incursion in 1980, they decreed these Hindu Pandits should be thrown out of Kshmir valley and so instead of standing along with Indian Army they escaped mostly to Delhi and Prospered as they are very good traders.But they never asked for Arms to fight alongside Indian Army against Taliban of LET because they are Brahmins!!
Today i agree with all every pakistani has a right to go anywhere in Pakistan.
But why they are becoming IDPs.is the question?Why cannot they support Pakistani Army? This is because these IDPs are actually the families of Taliban who are fighting Pakistani Army. That is why Punjab doesnot want them.But Sind has 35% Pakthun population and so they are going to the houses of these relatives.But the behaviour of pakthuns in Sind who are there long before is such they are not welcomed by sindhies and Mohajirs who are represented by Altaf hussein.Please read Amnas blog on this issue and comments by one Seema on this issue.Now Imran Khan is playing the Pakthun card as he could never win any election.
I think Raza haider is batting for real ordinary patriotic pakistani.

Newly born Pakistan warmly welcomed refugees coming from India to Pakistan in the province of Sindh but it’s a matter of great grief that the same Sindhis are now not allowing the displaced people of Malakand who are desperately seeking shelters in the current wave of heat. What impression of sindhi’s goes to the nation and world at large??? this is not only wrong but in-human as well. Bad days and bad situation may come at them as well, and still I am sure that people of Sarhad will warmly accept and support them!!!!
I request Sindhi’s to stop playing politics over the lives of IDP’s and learn the lessons from the history of Islam as well as Pakistan. Which Islam teaches such lessons to dis-allow refugees even to enter a region of the country that they belong???? Shame on those who are giving a negative image of Sindh

It is absolutely CRAZY to think that IDPs will find Karachi and Sindh suitable to seek refuge. We’ve been told how painful it was for them to reach “Mardan” and yet they wanna travel 1400 KMs, skipping who NWFP, Punjab and then reach Sindh or skip whole sindh to reach KARACHI.

The second problem which IDPs are facing is HEAT. and boy it gets Hot in Sindh and Karachi, who have asked them that Karachi is much cooler than MARDAN or NWFP? The sun is beating down like anything and it’s constantly around 40 degrees and above.

I am still not sure why not they asked to setup a camp in Murree and other cooler places…

Swat IDPs are running away from tension and fighting and yet they’ve chosen KARACHI and SINDH to seek refuge,,, where there’s another Fighting in place between ANP and MQM and IDPs will not find things any different here…

My conclusion is… We Pakistanis are “Lakeer k Faqeer”. And when we make our minds of doing something, Good or Bad, nobody can tell us to change it. We all have “Pathan Khoprees” on our heads.

FIRSTLY BE NOTED THAT, MAHAJIRS FROM INDIA WERE THOSE WHO SACRIFIED THEIR LIVES,THEIR PROPERTY, FOR SAKE AND NAME OF PAKISTAN, dont mis interpret them as IDP’s otherwise it will turn into an other subject.
Secondly each and every city developed according to its resources and its population, anybody can come to Karachi can live in Karachi as Millions of Pukhtuns, Punjabi, Baluch, Saraiki, Hazara and almost ppl frm all region of Pakistan are living here (FEDERAL GOVT. MUST GIVE RIGHT SHARE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF KARACHI IF THEY WILLING TO INCREASE IT POPULATION THROUGH IDP’S), but peacefully and lawfully, I think you never visited Karachi nor you seen condition here, Kindly visit Karachi and ask those middle class ppls whose plots, flats are captured by thousands of pakhtuns and afghanis.

BE PRACTICAL AND MAKE YOUR APPROACH IN CONSTRUCTIVE WAY, RATHER THEN PREACHING HATRED AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.
