Simplicity Begins at Home
By Farid Masood • Nov 14th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 3 Comments‘Charity begins at home’ is a universal saying. But out of the home this saying can only be followed when you have something surplus at home or you may sacrifice your own needs for a genuine needy. A genuine needy may also be defined as a person comes on a black Merc and ask for food. Before going to ask someone for financial or other helps we should look into ourselves. Its very pleasant until father pays for the expenses of son. But there should be a time when son has to think to stand up and be confident what he can earn for himself and for his family. Initial days could be simplest, may be one meal a day, nothing to ride and nothing special to wear. But with the honesty, integrity, aim towards positive direction and with zeal and zest son can achieve his goal to be financially sound for his family and himself.
If he doesn’t earn from business or job let it try from that lands of father. Though there would be much hassle and difficult times to burn midnight oil from cultivating a land to getting the crop. Artificial means for watering the areas may be utilized by meteorological department in coordination with agriculture department along with talk to India to release our quota of water in time.
Pakistan being an agricultural country is looking for financial help from money lending institutions like International Monitory Fund (IMF). The time is right to put some seeds more than we put yesteryear, get more crop of wheat and sell it against dollars (beloved currency) to Afghanistan, Russian states etc. It may a little late to sow, but its never too late to do a good job.
But honest decision, supply of resources, and good marketing is required to sow, crop and sell the product and earn money to support financial crises prevailing. This is one field from which we can earn, and there are many many fields we may explore and exploit.
Simplicity is must. If you are habitual to ask for money by going on a black Merc the lender will ask you if you cannot bear why you don’t but a small car with less maintenance and driving cost. The lender may have the right to reject your borrowing request.

Hi Farid,
Nice post. Keep it up. This is what required on TPS. Always Politics, Politics and Politics is making our minds sick. We can’t help our nation by discussing this politics. Try to address basic issues of Pakistan. May be some one from higher authority needs our suggestion in that regard.
Thanks. It is not only my feedback but many people whom I convicned to visit TPS…said the same that we have to discuss basic issues on such noble forum, instead of wasting energies one issue. These politicians are quite old so we cant change their minds…but yes by bringing change in youngersters views, we cange whole country’s future. Just see your neighbour country… INDIA and CHINA.
One one side China and India are big compettetors of Eurpoe and USa but on other Hands, you will find maximum INDIAN and CHINESE Students in their universities.
Keep it up.
Agricuture country has nothing to do in exports…. When your own country but Afghanistan population is so high.
We have to shift our strategies from Agri Economy to Value Added economy.
If Bangladesh can add value 4 time on the basis of Pakistan Yarn… why we can’t by making same shirts in Pakistan and getting $4 instead of $1 by exporting raw products at cheap values.
Why our exporters cant add value by exporting rice under Brands…instead of giving raw rice to Indian business men and they packs in Branded bags and seels at 4 time high prices in whole world.
I dont know when we will learn from others. We are champions of fighting in other neighbour countires but our country not even once taught nation that actual fight is economic fight. Without food in stomach, a soldier cant even fight for a day. We have reached at same point.
So many issues, so many pains…but our young generation is also following same old practice… Politics, Politics and Politics.
Now first time we have achieved to do live coverage of USA elections also. USA Media not even showed live coverage of USA elections, as our meida did… Is this not an addiction of Politics that now we starting showing concern about other countries politics too. Is this not making our young generation additicted. Not today but tomorrow we will find them also addicted of the same.
Come on dears and stop posting so many posts on Politics and when some ohter post comes…it is mostly on criticism on some personality or others. Please try to highlight good deeds of people, so others can learn from it. Lets use other strategy…we have found no change by criticizing on wrong things… Lets search for good things and practices and start highlighting them infront of world. This will encourage the person who is doing good and will encourage others also for the same. Inshallah.
