Silver Lining to PPP, PML(N) Splinter
By Muskan Hina • Aug 27th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 29 CommentsOpposition is an equal partner in the parliamentary system of government as of the treasury benches and the more the opposition is stronger, the more the parliamentary system gets durable and solid provided media, judiciary, and the establishment behave themselves and politicians don’t get way too greedy and knavish.
Pakistan, after the nine years of absolute and blind rule by a dictator has got a democratic parliamentary system. Now this system has also naturally found a real and formidable opposition. This new opposition which comprises of PML(N) in the parliament and lawyers, APDM on the roads and fringes has got enough flare to keep the rulers on their toes. But the opposition must be constructive and they must not abuse the government and they must not try to create contours in the government in the wake of having another elections.
The rulers must also not get carried away and they must keep the sycophants at arm’s length and they should follow the policy of Live and Let Live. Pakistan People’s Party should carry on governing in Islamabad and in NWFP with ANP and in Sindh with MQM and in Balochistan, and they should let Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz have their say and work in the biggest province of Punjab. They should also keep their governor Salman Taseer from any adventure, as that would backfire and it would be fatal for the democracy.
Musharraf has gone. He is history. He has gone. He is no more. Now nation wants stability. They want certainty. They want justice, and for justice they want all the judges including Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary restored. They want flour and food. They want peace. They want sound economy and equal opportunities for education, jobs and health. They want their government to deliver and they want their opposition to keep vigil on the government.
If this delicate and fresh balance of opposition and government remains as tight as it is today, its outcome will once again turn on how the undecideds break. And that undecideds are being closely looked by the establishment and if this time once again politicians fail then people would very soon start hearing the heartwrenching beat of boots.

The venture of PPP and PML-N had to be broken and the sooner the better.
Some turncoats have gone so far in love of Zardari they would not mind even Quaid-e-Azam being shownn as controversial. They are the one who have put fear of CJP in Zardari. Zardari is well on his way to self destruction.
Yeah koi Quran Hadith to nahin hay na, so dont cry baby
That’s first breather I got, otherwise I was ill at ease with this breakup.
Good point. Of course, this will only help democracy take roots. Let the PPP rule and sit on the opposition benches and be vigillent and scream everytime see a thief or notice pilfererage. This is the point this idiot has to understand, one does not have to be PM to serve the nation. But then idiaot would not be an idiot if had the ability to understand such simple but important facts.
One more thing. You say, ” they want all the judges including Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary restored. They want flour and food.” My question is, since all these people are jobless, do you think they are ones hording flour and food?

Wake up Rubab. Hallo! You just won the ‘Prize of Ignorance’ (now that is not ordinary achievement ! living among the most ignorant people on the face of this earth, you have your own class!) - your favourite Mullahs and Maulvis made the Quaid-e-Azam and his Pakistan controversial long long time ago. For your informations - They named him ‘Kafir-e-Azam’ and our country - ‘NaPakistan’.

What @ # 2 ? hain
Well, I tried hard but couldn’t find any mention of Mullah in the article above. The statments below are supposed to be the comments about the article.
And about the article, quite optimistic and I think quite logical if our politicians behave as mentioned, certainly a lot better than Mr.Mushi who replaced Mullah with Moolah.
Live and let others Live…!
PPP must follow professional practices to governance. Otherwise, they should not blame on others. Nation has already given them lot of time…. now if they are serious then address the issues on urgent basis. Why they are finding excuses. I don’t want to put my feet again in bad discussions but it will be better for others to praise their own leaders and highlight their good works instead of running campaign against one party. They should see their own face first in mirror and then criticize on others.
I have nothing to say more than this.
Pakistan’s problems will not be solved as long as people of Pakistan don’t learn to differentiate between right & wrong, evil & good, black and white…..
Muskan is always right,i cant dare to negate her.yes yes and yes to to muskan.
You should not lose sight of the credibility gap of having a diagnosed nutter who does not believe in complying with agreements as the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. From an outsiders perspective it is baffling how a nation of 160 million plus (and growing by the second) cannot chose any honest decent reliable individuals to lead it. There are always a few bad apples in a barrel but in Pakistan’s case the whole barrel is rotten. Thank god for the Nukes and the fundos otherwise Pakistan would be totally ignored and isolated from the world community.
The most stupid nation on earth is Pakistanis. Look below and you will find how. They have selected two time tested people (Nawaz and Zardari) the most corrupt and dishonest above the most sincere and Pakistan loving person (Musharraf).
THE BELOW SHOWS THAT PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY KNOW ONE THING I.E. CRITICISM WITHOUT A GENUINE KNOWLEDGE OF
THE FACTS AND FIGURES - IN DOING SO THEY ALSO WELCOME
BACK TAINTED POLITICIANS WITH HISTORY OF FINANCIAL AND
OTHER FORMS OF CORRUPTION KEEPING HIGH HOPES OF THEM
RE-SHAPING THEIR DESTINY!! THERE IS NO RECOGNITION OF
ONE WHO HAS DEVOTED TIME AND EFFORT WHICH HAS SADLY
GONE DOWN IN VAIN!!

“The most stupid nation on earth is Pakistanis”
Yes, I agree. I did not know we had a country named “Pakistanis”. Thank you for showing the intelligence of Pakistanis.
You have proved it once again more vehemently, I am talking about a nation (Pakistani) not a country (Pakistan), Daktoor Sahib. Country would never be stupid but the nation is.
But the important thing is you agreed with the the contents and context of the above.
Aashique of Musharraf,
Thank you for insulting me. You continue to play with words and I hope you get joy out of this.
I just do not get all these id’s you folks have and to what end?
Continue insulting others here and feeling high and mighty.
Good day to you!
I can only assume who you are. More you write, and reference to proving you right, you must be aftab.
I had expected better from you, if you are this aashique of musharraf.
It does not matter, I am through with this site. Most of you folks cannot be straight and just enjoy games. Typical of Pakistanis.

No Naahn Nay Nahin Naji Awain
” You Are Typical Pakistani ” I never experienced this attitude in North America. we don’t give up so easily, it’s like accepting a defeat.
Just Enjoy The Game
Don’t get emotionally involve.
” Na khaidan ga Na khaidone dainga ” is not fair
If you stayed I will talk to you about this subject,
if you like
God bless you and….
God bless America
Dear Doctor Bhai, it’s less than a happy experience to be assumed culprit, especially by someone like you, I am really at my wits’ end. I would have thought that after communicating with me for sometime now you and others must be able to know me and my style. Sir, why do you think that I have either reason or need to insult you? Let me assure you, I am an straight arrow and pretty happy with this. It is against my substance to hide behind fictitious identities, especially if there is a need to confront anyone. Relax!
Respects.
dr alshaer
Aftab is right, His writing pattern, is entirely diferent than AOM
It’s a serious misunderstaning, we must clear it now, you guys have so much understaing, makes me jealous.
