Sikh Beheadhing in Pakistan
By Shayan Khan • Feb 23rd, 2010 • Category: Misc • 3 CommentsMilitants have beheaded a kidnapped Sikh in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency after his relatives failed to pay ransom, according to his family.
Jaspal Singh and two other Sikhs were kidnapped from the Chora Tanga area of Tirah two weeks ago.
According to the family, the kidnappers had demanded Rs20 million by Feb 20 for Mr Jaspal’s release.
Sources said that a jirga of some local elders and relatives of the kidnapped Sikhs went to Tirah on Saturday in order to negotiate the release of the hostages, but the captors instead handed them over the beheaded body of Jaspal on Sunday. The two other Sikhs are still in captivity. — Ibrahim Shinwari.

I would add the fact that Shaheed Bhai Jaspal Singh ji was given the “opportunity” to cut his hair and convert to Islam, which, as a devout Sikh, he declined. Only then was he murdered. This makes him a martyr with the honoured title of Shaheed. We Sikhs remember and highly treasure our Shaheeds.
May Waheguru bless his family with strength and fortitude at this difficult time.
May Waheguru bless the Sikh Nation with strength, fortitude and resolve at this moment and always.
Where are all the Jihadis who were supporting terrorist Afia Sidduqi earlier on, on TPS and at other places?
Hypocrites.
“the kidnappers had demanded Rs20 million by Feb 20 for Mr Jaspal’s release”
This should not be a problem. The government paid $2 million for Afia Siddiqui, surely they would spend Rs20 million for Mr Jaspal’s too?
Or may be not, as Mr Jaspal is not a jihadi unlike Afia.
