Should Iftikhar Chaudhry Go After Zardari or Musharraf?

They are of the opinion that selective justice is being done and they are targeted by the CJP, while the former dictator Pervez Musharraf who actually dismissed, incarcerated, and humiliated the chief justice and other judges is roaming free and never CJP has took any suo moto notice against him or his companions.
Chief Justice of Pakistan has blasted the NRO away and the beneficiaries of NRO are now facing their cases except the president Asif Ali Zardari who enjoys immunity due to his office. But why not drag the man to the court, who actually signed the NRO through and why not those people who were his cronies at that time? Now all those Musharraf-kids including Chaudhrys of Gujrat, Sheikh Rashid, Mushahid Hussain and others are rejecting NRO and putting all blame over Musharraf, but everyone knows the truth.
The nation hates Musharraf due to his kowtow in front of America in war against terror, selling Pakistanis to CIA, Balochistan operation, Bugti Murder, Kargil misadventure, Lal Masjid massacre, Qaaf League, Shaukat Aziz, and sacking of judges and NRO. Why hasn’t chief justice yet summoned Musharraf and his cronies? Why hasn’t he said or done something abotu Afia Siddiqui and missing people? Is he seeing only the corruption of Zardari?
Justice is easily done with the weakest ling, which is what Zardari is. It’s not to say that present president is innocent, because we all know that skeletons of corruption rattle in his cupboard and the money he looted still at large around the world but why only him? Why hasn’t CJP taken notice massacre of 12th May by MQM on the directions of Musharraf the killer?
Selective Justice is justice denied.

What about General Hameed Gul? who created all these terrorist that Musharraf had to go after? Hameed Gul himself admitted to creating IJI. He taught Musharraf as a student. Yes selectice justice is wrong, and that is why singalling out Musharaf and Zardari only to be tried is also unjust.
CJP should go after both (Musharraf & Zardari), it is the responsibility of present government to facilitate the repatriation of Musharraf to face all the charges in Pakistan. I’m sure Zardari & Co will never act to apprehend Musharraf because by doing so they will open up the can of worms and Zardari knows that Musharraf will not go down alone.
I think it would be wise for Zaradri and his acolytes to accept the wrong doings and return every single penny to Pakistan’s treasury and then face the justice otherwise him and his acolytes will die like a street dog, inshah ALLAH.
The only person besides Zardari who is a genuine dakoo and chore is Nawaz Sharif. He should be pursued to the full extent of the law. Why? He stole crores from the State Bank of Pakistan - money taken from hundreds of private bank accounts of Pakistani citizens. These victims have yet to see their money returned. This criminal conduct should be punished immediately. He is also a murderer, when he ordered a PIA plane with innocent men, women and children on board to be shot down.
Sharif is the one whom justice should be meted out to before anyone else.
be patient a little longer, let choudry equip his arsenal, ie, full strength of judges, bar councils, moblising media
including the known mouth pieces , and fartune tellars of democracy;GOD forbid save Pakistan from misadventures.
ThisChief Corrupt Judge himself is corrupt thats why TWO corrupt can not rule togather, So he is testing the Power. But Zardari is not Nawaz Sharif, Who will Pack up in the Middle of night and will become Bhaghoara.So What ever is going to Happen to this Illitrate Nation of Corrupts will not be a Good Ending.

Totall agree, Accountability and justice should be for everyone. Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif have to 7 Billion Rupees to Habib Bank since 1998, why is it that nobody ever asks them to clear there defaulted amounts. When Habib Bank approaches them for payment they say that they have taken loans from there wives, sons, brothers etc and there bank balance is only Rs 6000 so they are unable to pay. While they travel on business class on short notices for medical treatments abroad and live like kings in a 1600 Acre Raiwand residence, this is corruption of higest degree.
They have billions of Dollars invest in Jeddah and London why do we only ask about Zardari’s swiss accounts.
Justice should be for everyone.
I used to feel General Musharaff is an honest man though he may have other weaknesses. But now i find he is looked after in London very comfortably by whom . His army pension will not be suffice. Is it not corruption?
Why CJ of Pakistan was dismissed by Musharaff? Why Shakat Aziz’s voice and recommendation carried greater say in this dismissal? The former PM of Pakistan was a WORLD BANK MAN and anyone who works there serves th American interests.
Zardari stands tall inspite of 10%corruption for standing upto World bank/aMERICA and signing the PAKISTAN/IRAN PIPELINE DEAL.
This article completely baffles me. The only conclusions I can come to are, that the author is either uninformed about most of the things he’s talking about, or that he intentionally picked and chose to mention only selected facts that would make his argument sound plausible.
For one, the government’s “argument” doesn’t hold any weight at all. The president is yapping about how there are “conspiracies of the pen” to just write a verdict and hang him like bhutto was hanged, when all that had happened was that the possibility of the president’s corruption cases being reopened and examined by local and swiss courts became real.
The argument also doesn’t make any logical sense when you say that the Chief Justice is only going after the president and not doing anything about missing persons or musharraf, because the CJ HAS taken suo moto notice of missing people and only recently ordered govt agencies to produce these people within a number of weeks. A number of people have already been produced. The govt is a hurdle in this task. The majority of prisoners at the US secret prison at Bagram, are missing/abducted Pakistanis, and the govt doesn’t want to tell the US to hand them back. The argument that the CJ is after personal vendetta on this NRO issue also fails, because the CJ didn’t go after the NRO issue, the govt referred the issue to him after failing to shove the ordinance through the parliament.
And one last thing. How can you say the judiciary is going after zardari and little else, when the CJ has taken a huge personal initiative and taken steps like working on Sundays and holidays, and getting the whole judiciary and all the other judges, to put in overtime everyday to try to clear out this backlog of cases that have been pending for thirty years.
Please get your facts straight, otherwise you might find yourself spreading disinformation, unintentionally or otherwise.

Hameed Gul & Musharraff that HG is embarrassed on his past & admitted openly himself — “whatever I’ve done penalized me”— but on other hand Musharraff never accepts his past misdeeds even he acted as foolish stubborn child like this following one.

The US and British governments have a deal with the Pakistan establishment that no harm will come to their man Mr Musharaf — Booh Sharaf in or out of Pakistan.. As he used to say ” if i may say so . the fact is that the Musharaf Bird along with his looted millions has flown to the Safety of Altaf Husains Nest in London. We could see Musharaf returning to Pakistan as an MQM leader in Karachi and contest an election and end being leader of the opposition in our assembly.
. If Zardari can become president then anything is possible.
If you recall, Musharraf lived in the Commander in Chief’s house with full service for a year partying with his loyal friends and cronies enjoying free food, and drink and listening to Mohd Rafi songs at the expense of the state. No one questioned him. No one had the guts.
He left from Islamabad airport and no one questioned him. There was on ECL, PPP, PML (N)(Q)or ISI to stop him. Such is the power of America and those that serve its purpose.
