Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should be high in your priority list when you start looking beyond writing great content for your blogs. Merely submitting your blog to directories, search engines and such resources is not enough.

Search Engines do visit and crawl and index your website sooner or later, and if they don’t like the structure of your blog, they either don’t get your purpose for being on the net and misunderstand you or simply ignore you. In both cases, this misunderstanding on the part of search engines deprive you of the traffic, which could otherwise come to you through natural searching.

SEO is all about making the crawling of search enginers more fruitful and beneficial to your blog. Search engines don’t really crawl you page on daily basis, and there is no pet frequency, so you should be read for the crawl and you should take advantage of it when it comes. The task of crawling is performed by e piece of software, called a crawler or a spider (or Googlebot, as is the case with Google). Spiders follow links from one page to another and index everything they find on their way.

SEO is also very simple. It involves simple things. Make the headings of your blog posts simple, terse and nouns. Make the URLs of your blogs pleasent, and you could do it through some of the WordPress plugins. Also use pertinent links within your posts and also link to your own posts.
