Sad News: Zardari Won’t Be President in 2019

By Shayan Khan • Jan 13th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 4 Comments

I cannot stop tears welling in my eyes as I just read a news line that governor Punjab Salman Taseer has said that President Asif Ali Zardari will remain head of state until 2018. That clearly means that after 2018 he won’t be here to keep his blessed shadow over our headless necks.

I am dumbstruck with grief right now and finding it hard to jot down any more words in this blog. How could he do that to us? I mean can you imagine Zardari leaving us so soon, or any time in the far future? If it would be up to the people of Pakistan, they would have requested nature to arrange elixir for the Zardari and keep him always in the presidency.

Salman Taseer has hurted me a lot. He could at least do a favor to us. He could have kept this sad and bad news to himself until 31 December, 2018 and let us enjoy uptill those rosy years. Alas!

  1. Being president doesn’t mean he is above us and it doesn’t mean we should fear him either. These people do not care about you and me other than taking our money, and to keep carrying on all the other corrupt activities their involved. A lot of you aren’t going to wake up to who these people are until it’s too late. You call them conspiracy theorist as if there is something wrong with them. When in fact it is they that you should be listening too that your government doesn’t want you listening to because then you will know what they are doing.

  2. he is not the most corrupt man on earth there used to be one who`d died hundred years ago.so he is the no 2 .

  3. What major achievement has he or his government made so far?? Few of his achievements are:

    - Atta not available even in Islamabad.
    - CNG crisis.
    - Oil hikes
    - Sugar became history for a common man in Pakistan.
    - Dams are drying up and no rain….
    - Electricity became history. We are going back to the British era.
    - Corruption became a legal right of the elite class and politicians.

    I don’t know why would a common Pakistani wish that this government is re-elected.

  4. @Waqar,

    You nailed it brother….I don’t reside in Pakistan but today I made a promise to myself that inshah ALLAH I’ll visit Pakistan the day my motherland is freed from Zaradi’s claws.

    @hasjams

    Please let me know the name of person who you think was the most corrupt person (# 1) and died years ago…I want to do research on him and see if he was related to Zardari.
