Root Cause of Restiveness

By Rohail Butt • May 7th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 6 Comments

Is the root cause Nawaz Sharif or Pervez Musharraf? If any one of the both quits the rule, the strong possibility is that the shenanigans of the power politics would end, which are emanating from the camp office Rawalpindi.

The extreme and mighty focus of General (r) Pervez Musharraf right now is to oust Nawaz Sharif from the Pakistan Democratic Alliance and then to oust them from the Punjab government. Governer Rule is the ultimate weapon in the armoury of General Musharraf through Khalid Maqbool. Khalid Maqbool is busy like hell nowadays to gather the MPAs of Punjab under his umbrella.

Musharraf has also assured Asif Ali Zardari that with the help of PML-Q, independents, and other lotas PPP would be able to form government in Punjab, when the current CM Khosa resigns in the favour of Shahbaz Sharif. They tried to delay the by-elections due to this very reason to gain more time to gather more and more MPAs. Things are now being done on urgent basis.

After the screen is cleared of Nawaz Sharif, then the next turn is of Zardari. Zardari should remember that when Musharraf can wash his hands off Chaudhary Shujaat then Zardari is nothing in front Chaudhrys in terms of services for the tyrant.

Pakistanis will take a sigh of relief, only if Musharraf quits, but he won’t go himself and he has to be ousted kicking and screaming.

  1. Correct…agreed.

  2. If you know the end of dictators…then don’t worry. For how many months or years, he will sit in ARMY HOUSE. After all he has to come out on road and we are waiting for it. So lets hope for the best. This is different Pakistan and people are not well aware of all plans cooking inside ARMY HOUSE. If some body is not accepting last election results, then its his problem…If some body want to twist whole structure by changing icons then we have few rights also.

  3. Mr. Rohail Butt, following was your opinion on May 05. with my comments. What has caused this drastic change in your position in one day? Kind regards.

    Nawaz Sharif’s Way

“Nawaz Sharif has…… many black spots on him…” TRUE.

“……he also needs to build up a fresh tier of companions around him…..” YES HIS PERSONAL EMPLOYEES, LACKIES AND FLUNKIES MUST BE SENT HOME OR BACK TO HIS BUSINESS ENTERPRISES.

“The voices of almost 160 million Pakistanis are in unison with him…” THAT’S A WHOLE CHUNK! HARDLY TRUE !

“Biggest of all he needs to ask for forgiveness from the nation over the assault by his workers on the Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. For that he must go to Justice (r) Sajjad Ali Shah himself and ask for the sorry.” ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, AND IT MuST BE PUBLIC ! ! ! ! ! !

BEST COURSE WILL BE HE MUST PRESENT HIMSELF AS RESPONSIBLE FOR GROSS CONTEMPT IN THE FACE OF THE SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN IN NOVEMBER 1997.

  4. Rohail,

Musharraf is the elected president of Pakistan and he is destined to rule Pakistan another 4 and a half years. You should respect him and if you behave in this way’ you will burn your own blood for nothing.

It’s better to accept the ground realities and CHEER UP!

  5. He is likely to stay in power until Democrtas win US presidential election. Without any peronal love for him, its only face-saving attempt by the Bush administartion to help Mush stay in his office. Becuase if Mush is removed, the whole world and USA electorate would consider Republicans (Bush & Company) as weak who were unable to defend even its protege. That is why PPP has to opt for a soft stance because of immense pressure from US and all of us know that if US needs anything to do here in Pakistan, the tool is Army. Lets bear it.

Ashique of Mush sahib! We will not mind if you say that Mush is a reality, a de facto president. Please do not say him ‘elected’. How he was ‘elected’, everybody knows the legitimacy of those so-called elections.

  6. What happens if Senator John Mcaine wins the elections in November and becomes the 44th president of the United States - which in all probablity he will, considering all the bad blood due to infighting within the Democratic party?

President Musharraf is both, “de facto” and de jure president of Pakistan as long as he has not resigned or impeached by the 2/3 majority of the joint session of both the houses. This is the constitutional position and there is no other option.
