Steadily and gradually but continuously, a planned sectarian violence is spreading across Pakistan starting from the North West province. The curse of terrorism is still there, but suicide bombings and bomb blasts only occur occassionally and their effect is on a single locality and they are condemned by the whole society and it unites the people regardless of their color, creed and affiliations.

Now the enemies of Pakistan are fanning the sectarian violence between Shias and Sunnis. In the early nineties, the sectarian violence was at it’s peak. Bomb blast, firing and attacks on the mosques and imam bargahs became routine and police seemed helpless, and then all of a sudden it all stopped. Now once again this menace is appearing.

First the news came from Kurram agency of tribal region where for months the fight went on between Shias and Sunnis. Then Hungo and Tul saw worst sectarian clashes. Then in Dera Ismail Khan got in the grip of sectarian violence, where even a bomb was planted in a funeral of an assassinated leader. Now a blast has occurred in Imam Bargah, Takia Sanghan area of Hisht Nagri.

This is the time that we as a nation get united in the face of this alarming and very dangerous conspiracy by our enemies. They want to paralyze the Pakistani security forces and the government by opening multiple fronts. A united Pakistan can respond to these attacks only. We must support our security forces and government against any form of terrorism and violence.
