Hangu city is at the verge of the settled areas of NWFP and the tribal regions, and it’s adjoining city Thall is also of the same importance. On the Thall-Hangu road, there is a small serene village called as doaba, which is no more serene and calm, and a search operation for militants by the security forces is going on with full force amidst a tight curfew.

The search operation was launched after militants besieged a local police station in Doaba for more than 12 hours after the arrest of their armed colleagues. However, the Taliban lifted the siege and reopened Doaba road after a peace Jirga held negotiations with them. But as the search operation is underway, the Jirga and Taliban are not happy and they are accusing government of not keeping their words.

When it comes to the maintaining the writ of the government, then nothing stands in the way. Talibans must come to their senses, as they are not only harming the integrity of the Pakistan, but they are also giving open delicious invitation to NATO and already watering United States to come and have it’s way through the Pakistan. Talibans clearly seem to be missing the point, as in their narrow approach they are hell bent on destroying everything, and these jirgas are useless and meaningless and should be shun.

According to the media, four people were killed and five others wounded when a tractor trolley struck a landmine in Kach area, he added. Likewise, one person was critically injured when he passed over a landmine in the village of Magnek, he said. The injured including children were immediately shifted to different hospitals of the agency. Following the explosions, security was put on high alert in Parachinar, Sadda and other parts of Kurram Agency.

The tribal region is littered with the land mines, unexploded grenades and other lethal toys and most of time the innocent people become victim of these weapons which mainly include the vulnerable children. Taliban understand that?
