Indeed I agree instead of propping up monster to counter another, government should use the Army to squash for once and all the B.M gang, albeit saying that I really wish the whole situation is that simple. B.M is very strong regardless if we accept it or not and allies at ground against B.M are needed be it any form. It took almost a year for army and ISI to prepare Zain and his militia, which have been active against TTP for pat few months, they have been at war with each other for some time as Zain had a history and score to settle with B.M, by the way Zain was also a Mehsud. It is only now actually media have started to give exposure to them (there are others as well). Loss of Zain is a huge tactical loss to the Pakistanis and huge relief for B.M as he have stated to his close aides about him being more worried about enemies from with in rather then that about Pakistan Government or army on his tail. Poison is the only weapon against poison, plain and simple.
Yes the locals hate B.M and his band of thugs but they do not have any choice, people are only skeptic of governments sincerity in eliminating B.M and you cant blame them. In the last operation against him over 300 of Khans who helped government were all murdered after a deal was made B.M, so who in there right mind would trust government there. But as this time it seems it has been decided to eliminate B.M for once and all people will stand against him and it is only a matter of time. BUT there is one very important question which needs to be answered and that is why such entities have been allowed to grow and expand, as rightly said by Tariq Ali in his book "The Duel", it is the short visioned elite of Pakistan which have lead to all this mess we see in Pakistan today. I completely agree.

You are right

We have taken this policy from our previous calonial rulers. We are using this since 1947 in Balouchistan, NWFP and even in Sindh.

Wiping out the corrupt ones with your corrupts. All they want is loyality to you, rest it doesn't matter what these corrupts do with the masses of that area.

Corrupt is dead, long live the corrupt!!!!!!!!
