How convenient all this saga is for the Rehman Malik. I am amazed at the tepid and almost non-existent reaction from the diehard PPP workers as Rehman Malik literally asks them to forget about the assassination of two-time premier of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and dumps the blame of negligence on the former dictator Musharraf.

Well Musharraf cannot be ruled out at all, but so is the mater of Rehman Malik and host of other people including Chaudhryès of Gujrat. There is no mention of PML-Q leaders whom the People’s Party and Zardari had accused earlier of having a hand in the deed. That party is now a key PPP ally and a key to PPP survival  in regime ironically.

Besides, the lofty Minister Rehman Malik’s statement that Musharraf did not provide Benazir Bhutto with adequate security flies in the face of truth and logic. Didn’t Musharraf provide Ms Bhutto with a bullet-proof car? Of course the car could only protect her as long as she stayed inside.What about Amin Fahim, Naheed Khan and Safdar Abbassi.

But what about the PPP workersÉ Why they are silent.
