Totally agreed with Aftab@16.
If the mess is needed to be cleaned than clean it to the last spike. No targeted justice and no NROs.
and first start from the sitting judiciary as you cannot clean the filth with filth. Make a commission of retired judges with spotless carrier, empower them to the brink, and let the pandora box open for all.
Bring historical facts to everybody’s knowledge. Who did what with the nation.
Dont spare any politician and instituition/body be it the militiary, the media, the bureaucracy, the police….

and then start afresh.

Yes, I am all for it, let Musharraf face the music if he is what the anti-Musharraf propaganda machine (at heavey cost to ’someone’ now, charged to us, public, later). But the court must be of judges not a party, no association, in the case (all 14 of the bench consider themselves ‘victims; of Musharraf, hence can not presumed to be independent, they are a party here and an ‘aggrieved party’ at that. As opposed to Sajjad I am more than keen to see Nawaz Sharif back - but before that - back to a truly / honest to God independant Court which is beyond any traces of any partisanship, even historical. I want the ‘Pandora Box’ open. Let’s form a commission of 21 retired judges with impeccable track record of their independance as well as competence, assign them this truly difficult job of openning of this our ‘Pandora Box’ ( let’s once & for all find out all the ‘ills’ that it contains ) - and clean the mess - this our national mess and then get on with our nation building.

Although, I am not at all keen to see NS back as PM, but it would be nice to see justice prevail. And good to see a dictator, being made to answerable to a court for his illeagal actions.

Part of the problem lies with us (the people) also, we should have done this at the imposition of the first martial law.

Well, its never too late.

You guys have already passed a judgment even before a formal allegationis made! Come on, admit this, it is vengence and not justice you seek. Atleast, try to pretend some respect for such fine notion as ‘justice’ (don’t do it just try to pretend!) - under the law (’civilized law’ - not ‘law of jungle’) anyone is presumed innocent until proved otherwise and I am assuming you know who carries the burden of proof.

You do not need to wait for Nawaz Sharif’s return to drag Musharraf, or anyone for that matter, to the court - you might have to wait an eternity - remember it’s His will that prevails no matter how many times a ‘questionalable’ decision of ‘loaded’ judiciary declares anyone as innocent as a little poodle. Who says you have to wait to victimize Musharraf, you have a freely bought ‘free’ media (for demonising and manufacturing public opinion of simpletons as you to scream for Musharram’s blood - do we hear ‘Justice’ here?) and you have a ‘free’ judiciary attending and responding the “democratic commands” - “Yes Sir”!

You can shoeshine for one Mian or whole lot of them (for they might throw some crumbs down the table wile you do the job!) - just remember and fear That ONE - THE ULTIMATE MIAN OF ALL!!!!!!

Musharraf covertly started Kargil without approval from elected government and betrayed our Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who was busy in building friendly peaceful relations with India. When PM of India Vajpayee came to Lahore, Musharraf refuse to salute him in capacity as Army Chief.Musharraf started Kargil misadventure when Nawaz Sharif was interested and was expected to make inroads on a free trade agreement with India. Musharraf played a double game with United States in war on terror, as he and his cronies started embezzling all funds. Only new PPP government started genuinely to fight this war on terror. Musharraf was doing only fraud.

Musharraf is a criminal to Pakistan, India and the US.

First of all this account comes from a website of Musharraf fans. Second, even if this was true, it was no license for Musharraf to illegally impose martial law and imprison the elected prime minister. Even before this incident, Musharraf was conspiring to do away with elected government. Indian agency RAW recorded and handed over to Nawaz Sharif transcripts of conversations of Mr. Mushaaraf with his commanders during Kargil where he again and again calls the elected Prime Minister a ‘bastard’ and is heard expressing his ambition to do away with elected government. Its all clear now. Musharraf is a traitor who discontinued democracy. Its time for him to pay back. Nawaz Sharif shall be back soon as PM and then we will drag Musharraf to courts! He must be made to pay for violating the constitution of the land. This is the only way to deter misadventurous general from imposing martial law in future. Punish this traitor and no one shall dare to impose martial law!
